  • Awesome House

"I cannot state strongly enough how awesome this house is for a Harbour Island Vacation. We have rented it 3 times and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. t have been in many of the homes on the island and this is one of the best especially in this price range. Furniture is beautiful and comfortable, it is decorated so nicely and beds are perfect!! The sunset is so beautiful you look forward to leaving the beach and enjoying a glass of wine on the back porch. You will not be disappointed..."

  • Nice place right on a beautiful cove

"Nice open layout. Three bedrooms each with large beds. Two sleepable sofas in open room. Beautiful view and light. Great home base to explore the north end of Eleuthera. Nice snorkling, kayaking. Wish they had a windsurfing board because the cove would have been perfect. Daddy Joe's, Glass Window Grill, Elvina's (Friday night jam), Laughing Lizard Cafe all nearby. Easy 30 minutes to Harbor Island. Be sure to go to Gaulding Beach a mile north. Atlantic side beaches near the house are too rough for swimming and you really need a Jeep to navigate the rocky roads although we did manage in a van going very slowly. AC in master bedroom was out, but being December, it was not a big deal. We were watching TV during a brief rain and heard a loud pop after which the TV quit, so this probably needs to be looked at. Mosquitoes only bad at sunset right on the water but for one hour they can suck out all your blood. Snorkeling good but not outstanding. Water very calm and manageably cool (late December.) Great octagonal open den and adjacent octangle kitchen. Very cool layout. Quiet. Neighbors will be sharing the small stony cove beach. Nice way to meet people. Plenty of towels, portable chairs, small coolers, but you will have to go to the 7-11 small store a mile away for soap, ice, coffee, sugar, snacks, extra toilet paper and food. There is a coffee pot and filters, microwave and good frig. We brought our own snorkling gear but there were two nice kayaks. All and all, lived up to our expectations. If you want to explore north Eleuthera yourself, this is a nice convenient base."

  • Picture Perfect

"Being from Florida, my husband and I had the idea that the Bahamas was just a tourist cruise ship destination until we visited last year. Boy were we wrong! I couldn't believe how close the flight is and we had never been there. We have traveled to a lot of beautiful beaches but this one tops the list! Touchstone Cottage is literally steps to the beach. The first time I saw it when I walked up the dune my heart melted and I became instantly relaxed. The water is turquoise blue and the sand looks like a peachy pink color in the sun's light! The water was refreshing and gentle and the best part is most of the time we had the beach to ourselves. Having the beach access is priceless. The Cottage itself was also so adorable and very private. It has a large open living room and kitchen and the two rooms on each side has it's own bathroom. I highly recommend renting a golf cart (easily arranged by the property manager) to get around the island. It's nice to be just a short distance from town, you really feel more like a local. The town also has all the conveniences you need- grocery store, liquor store and local restaurants. I highly recommend eating at Aquapazza at sunset- you'll fall in love all over again! My husband and I were with another couple but the Cottage is also good for a family of 4 or for a girls trip. Everything can be arranged very easily by the property manager, even getting a car for the day to go to Eleuthera. I am so nostalgic about the trip and hope to go back there again. The Cottage and the town are truly magic!"
