  • beautifully appointed in great location

"Our group of four adults and two tweens were a perfect fit for this lovely home. The bay side location is a block from the water taxis and all the restaurants and shops in Dunmore Town. While folks have their preferences for one side or the other, I like the bay side as it is less blustery at night on the verandas etc. We used golf carts to zip around (mostly to the grocery and out at evenings to resorts and restaurants and the ocean side) but much of the island is walkable. Each morning we walked to the opposite side of the island (5 minutes--a minute by golf cart) and did 4 mile beach walks -- heaven! We runned speed boats most days too. So much to do and the water is always beckoning. Andrew's home offers many areas for enjoyment indoor and out. Nice views, comfortable nooks, private and lush. The kids were in the pool everyday. The adults enjoyed cocktails on the mid-level and topside perches. Nice breezes made for perfect nights. We cooked in for breakfast and several dinners which is a money saver as the restaurants are pricey. The kitchen has much of what you need--not gourmet but better than most rentals for sure and a water cooler. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedroom AC units made for a good night's rest. Daily light cleaning service and on-island house manager were appreciated. Truly a great experience and beautiful home and a big contributor to how much we loved Harbour Island. We will rent this same place when we return (which I hope is soon!)"

  • Lovely home with fabulous snorkeling

"We very much enjoyed our stay. The ocean is fabulous and very worth braving the access ladder needed to get to the water. Just an FYI here- it's much easier at high tide. The snorkeling was some of the best on the island-most days we didn't leave, instead just took the kayaks out exploring for more reefs, of which there are plenty. The house is clean and cool and lovely. They owners considerately leave large bottles of shampoo and conditioner, as well as soap, and there are seasonings included with the fully stocked kitchen. No need to pack beach towels, they are provided, as well as some beach chairs. A great place to stay."

  • Beautiful, unspoilt and a home from home

"It is over two years since I stayed in this paradise home from home and I still regularly remember it wistfully and with a great longing to return. Terri and Kimi were fabulous hosts, there when we needed whilst respecting our space. The island itself is like nowhere I've been or expect to be again - beautifully unspoiled. Some day I'll make it back but until then I wish every visitor to Edge of the World an amazing time."

  • Simply the Best...

"My girlfriend and I just returned from Off the Reef. It was a glorious time! The view itself makes the price of a night worth it, even if it were twice the price. The pictures online DO NOT LIE! It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Allan and Carolyn have spared no expense to make this little bundle of paradise functional and fascinating. Bring a cooler and chairs if you want to, but you'll never need them. The only things we actually needed were our sunglasses and sunscreen. (And who doesn't bring those?) Be very specific with any car rental company you deal with. The roads in Eleuthera are terrible and there is no middle line on Queens Highway (except for spots in southern Eleuthera). If you drive on the right at home, request a car with left-hand operation. It's more than a little sketchy driving on both the wrong side of the road and the wrong side of the car. Also, if you're adventurous (like us) you'll want to visit some of the other beaches that you'll undoubtedly read about. Make sure you have 4-wheel or All-Wheel Drive!!! Lighthouse Beach is a pretty place, but it's a tough road to get there and God-forbid if you get stuck in the sand or get a flat! I'd venture to say that heading down to The Market at Rock Sound and buying four days worth of groceries and dining at Tippy's and 1648 should suffice a couple for the week. Be prepared, though, groceries, food and drink are expensive on the island. Take your snorkel gear! I saw about 15 varieties of fish and a ray while just "off the reef". I only got out as far as the fourth rock formation and the sealife was amazing! If you feel the need to get some fresh conch for fritters/rangoon, I'd recommend heading down to Bannermantown past the turnoff to Lighthouse Beach. There are hundreds of tidepools with living sealife. We didn't take advantage of it, though. My gal detests killing things and I kind of agree. So, that's that! Off the Reef is the place to be on Eleuthera for a couple. Everything you need, nothing that you don't. Carolyn is great about correspondence, so messaging is almost instantaneous. We love her! Missing OTR already... Hope to be back some time soon!"
