  • Great stay!

"We had visited February Point once before and chose this villa because of the personal dock. It did not disappoint! Great space, very clean, wonderful view. Al was very responsive and had wonderful local contacts for us as well- seriously they could not have been a nicer group! If you're going to cook while you are here, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need pots and pans wise, but bring salt/pepper/olive oil etc. Also bring some bug spray as the flies were bad outside (but could have been time of year). They just did a great patio renovation that is GORGEOUS and we absolutely loved sitting out on it each night. Great proximity to the new beach club as well- quick walk to the pool/restaurant. We did a private excursion with Captain Jerry one day and he picked us up at Feb Point marina which is a quick 2 minute walk. We also did a deep sea fishing excursion with Captain Peter and he picked us up and dropped us off right from the dock of the house! Cannot say enough good things about the experience and we cannot wait to return to this villa!!"

  • Fantastic beachfront vacation home

"I've wanted to go to Exuma for years, having heard rave reviews of its beaches, above all Tropic of Cancer Beach, so I was excited when I found the Pines in my research and saw the opportunity to actually live on the beach during my Exuma vacation with two other friends. The house is amazing. The balcony affords beautiful views of the beach and a cool spot to remain during the hottest part of the day, but one can sun oneself on the deck below on on the sunchairs by the steps that lead down on the beach. There are two ensuite bedrooms of comfortable size facing the beach with airconditioning and an airconditioner in the living room/dining/kitchen areas, which is open plan. The house is decorated nicely. All appliances worked efficiently and the kitchen is well stocked with kitchenware. There's a flatscreen television with Direct TV. Melanie was easy to contact, provided clear instructions and advice about how to get to the house and how to enjoy our stay, including tour and restuarant tips. She conducted business efficiently and professionally, promptly refunding our safety deposit and thoughtfully arranged a gift of sparkling wine for us in the refrigerator. I strongly recommend the Pines for a laid back vacation getaway. The property is not in the middle of the main town, George Town, so one has to drive 30 - 40 minutes there. Some may find this a deterrent, but if your main wish is to relax by the beach, outside of what little action one can find in "town", the Pines is perfect. If you want to drink and party in town, the curves of Exumas roads and the largely unlit sections outside of the main settlements may be unsettling for the first time visitor/driver at night--you may not want to drive back and forth in the evening. Luckily, Santana's and some other establishments are close in WilliamsTown (5 -10 minutes ). The only minor complaints one can have about tThe Pines come with the realities of vacationing in a rural, developing setting: the road leading to the house is VERY bad. drive slow and spare your tires. 2)as night falls, mosquitoes and sandflies (no seeums) emerge. keep the doors closed and keep Off handy. 3)the house is on well water, which can often stink because of sulfur content. 4) power may periodically go for short periods. This is common in Bahamas in the summer, and happened twice while we were there, but it came on quickly. I'd definitely return and recommend to others."

  • Great low key getaway

"This was the perfect mix of relaxation and activity. Swam or snorkeled most every day. Kayaked several times including out to Jolly Hall beach. Several visits to Stocking Island. Rented car for several days to get to Tropic of Cancer Beach, Santana's and ultimately back to airport. Several nights of rake and scrape music, appreciated that could find good food and music early as we are early to bed early to rise types. The day long excursion was well worth it. The owner, George was a pleasure to deal with. Unit was comfortable had everything we needed. Other than sleeping spent most of our time there drinking coffee on porch to watch the sunrise, or unwinding at the end of the day with a little Bahamian rum. Hideaways was very low key clean and friendly resort. There a three resorts in this little cove each with a restraunt and bar, so you can literally walk down the beach for dinner. We were also able to arrange for the water taxi to pick us up several times from the dock several hundred yards down the beach."

  • Just arrived home from a fantastic family vacation!!

"Myself, husband, and 2 teens had a great vacation staying at Paradise Palm.I really liked the location, being the end Villa. It was very quiet and private. The A/C worked perfectly, the showers were nice and hot and great water pressure.I could only get Wifi sitting outside on the front or in the chair by the front window. The location of the resort was ideal for running into Exuma Market (grocery store),The Fish Fry,and Jolly Hall Beach. DO NOT miss out on this gorgeous beach! Just a short 5 minute walk from the Villa, such a beautiful spot.We rented a boat from Minn's for 2 days.I recommend a boat rental for at least 2 days. After 1 day ,we were anxious for day 2 ,exploring again. You really need a car rental for this island. We rented from Thompsons, without a hitch. There was a large cooler in the Villa for us the take water, beer, and snacks on the boat. Both days we did stop at Chat N Chill for a frozen drink and a meal.We loved it! We had a great meal at Latitudes at the Exuma Beach Resort as well. Rachel was very easy to communicate with and we will definitely stay here again when taking our next trip to Great Exuma."
