  • Spectacular Estate!

"Don't pass up a vacation at this breathtaking property! As other guests have reviewed, the pictures of the property are great, but the experience of how wonderful it is cannot be captured with a camera. There is a main house, separate kitchen/dining villa, screened outdoor dining/lounging area and a second villa; all are beautifully decorated and accommodating to everything one may need. The water is crystal clear, no seaweed or seagrass. The beaches are soft, white sand and very private. We never saw any other people. There are TWO private cabanas nestled on rocky outlooks, perched at the ocean's edge. The natural vegetation between the main house and the ocean have multiple sand trails and offer a pleasant canopy of native foliage. We had plenty of areas to explore up and down this private beach. We even snorkeled and explored an area that is similar to a cove close to the property, seeing a lot of conch shells, starfish and other sea life. The owners employ some wonderful people that will take care of anything you may need or any questions you may have about the island. We had the most amazing vacation, thanks to the owners for making it so easy to orchestrate. They were very attentive and checked in with us frequently before arrival and after. We are very thankful that these fabulous property owners have shared their beautiful slice of paradise with the rest of us!"

  • A relaxing and beautiful place

"We stayed in the separate house which is comfortable and clean and has a relaxed vibe. It is not high end and modern and is not trying to be. It is more like a beach house or large family cabin. The screened in veranda kept bugs to a minimum which was nice at night. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need. We have generally stayed at beach front houses in the past not far from grocery stores and shops. This is different as you have to get a water taxi or have access to a boat to go across the harbour to shop. Planning is needed. When we booked I was not sure about not being right on the beach. Once there you realize how unique this place is. The island is thin and you have access to both sides. On one side is the clear calm inner harbour (holes) with lovely snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding. Paddle to chat and chill! On the other side 2 min away is a wonderful long beach that only seemed to have our family on it most of the day. The small pools that formed between the stromatolites at the end of the day were perfect to relax in. We did not have very small kids but they would be perfect even for small kids to enjoy. As others have said sitting at the pavilions with the 360 views is wonderful. One thing to remember is that this is off the grid so conservation of water and energy is important. You need to be careful with water usage and remember to switch off lights. It provides a reminder of how much we all may be wasting back at our homes. Good learning opportunity for every one especially kids. Bob is a wonderful host. He made sure we had everything we needed and provided lots of information and facts about the island. He even gave me a boat lesson on the way over to pick up a rental boat. The cost is reasonable compared to many other places we have stayed in. Overall it was a great experience and vacation. Would go back."

  • Great low key getaway

"This was the perfect mix of relaxation and activity. Swam or snorkeled most every day. Kayaked several times including out to Jolly Hall beach. Several visits to Stocking Island. Rented car for several days to get to Tropic of Cancer Beach, Santana's and ultimately back to airport. Several nights of rake and scrape music, appreciated that could find good food and music early as we are early to bed early to rise types. The day long excursion was well worth it. The owner, George was a pleasure to deal with. Unit was comfortable had everything we needed. Other than sleeping spent most of our time there drinking coffee on porch to watch the sunrise, or unwinding at the end of the day with a little Bahamian rum. Hideaways was very low key clean and friendly resort. There a three resorts in this little cove each with a restraunt and bar, so you can literally walk down the beach for dinner. We were also able to arrange for the water taxi to pick us up several times from the dock several hundred yards down the beach."

  • Just arrived home from a fantastic family vacation!!

"Myself, husband, and 2 teens had a great vacation staying at Paradise Palm.I really liked the location, being the end Villa. It was very quiet and private. The A/C worked perfectly, the showers were nice and hot and great water pressure.I could only get Wifi sitting outside on the front or in the chair by the front window. The location of the resort was ideal for running into Exuma Market (grocery store),The Fish Fry,and Jolly Hall Beach. DO NOT miss out on this gorgeous beach! Just a short 5 minute walk from the Villa, such a beautiful spot.We rented a boat from Minn's for 2 days.I recommend a boat rental for at least 2 days. After 1 day ,we were anxious for day 2 ,exploring again. You really need a car rental for this island. We rented from Thompsons, without a hitch. There was a large cooler in the Villa for us the take water, beer, and snacks on the boat. Both days we did stop at Chat N Chill for a frozen drink and a meal.We loved it! We had a great meal at Latitudes at the Exuma Beach Resort as well. Rachel was very easy to communicate with and we will definitely stay here again when taking our next trip to Great Exuma."
