  • Little piece of Paradise!

"I surprised my hubby for his 40th bday and took him to the Bahamas. I stumbled upon Touchstone Cottage and am so glad I did. It was perfect for what we needed. We stayed in the cottage, which is on the same lot as the main house, but still gives you ample privacy. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and layout is really ideal. We vacationed with our friends and this place allowed for each couple to have total privacy. I don't think you can get any closer to the pink sands beach at this price point. It's literally right over the sand dune and is breathtaking when you walk over that hill. The turquoise of the water next to the pink of the sand is absolutely beautiful. The town is very quaint and is easily accessible via golf cart. I would recommend just cruising around the island and chatting it up with the locals. Don't miss seeing the two trees on the bay side that are sticking out of the water--they are the only two left after getting hit by multiple hurricanes through the years. My husband and are already trying to plan our next visit with the kids this time. If you rented the whole property with another family, it would be a perfect set up. You could be BBQing your fresh caught fish, picking fresh papaya and coconut from the trees on site, then grabbing a lime to splash in your drinks! Then take those drinks and go watch the gorgeous sunset. Can't get much better than that! The owners and property managers were both very responsive and helpful with all of our questions and needs. The cottage had everything to meet our needs, including beach towels and a beach bag to grab for the beach. Truly one of the best vacations we've ever had. Dreaming of getting back there!!"

  • A perfect Christmas 2015

"We absolutely loved The Banyan Cottage! We were looking for an affordable house on HI and we loved this cedar, no frills cottage! My husband, 2 college aged daughters, and I couldn't have picked a better place for the price. Alexis, the house manager, answered all of our questions. The internet stopped working and she came over with a new router. Harbour Island is beautiful and the sand is actually pink. The first night we went to Ramora Bay and listened to calypso music and then ate at Aquapazza. It was so good and a beautiful setting! We ate at The Rock House for dinner one night and it was delicious. We also ate at Valentines which has an excellent view of the sunset and more affordable. We ate at Ma Ruby's twice and enjoyed meeting Dr. Lee and Ma Ruby! We also enjoyed the Cheeseburger in Paradise! Tiki Hut was fun if you like loud music. We had lunch at Sip Sip and The Blue Bar and it was expensive, but good. The Lobster Quesadilla at Sip Sip is excellent & basically fed all of us! We also ate down on Bay Street near the docks several times. Loved The Queen Conch- the conch salad is awesome as well as fried conch and fried lobster! The night life was pretty dismal Christmas week, but we heard the week after Christmas is hopping! We rented bikes, golf cart, and a boat one day from Michael's and we were very happy! Michael greeted us the day we arrived and escorted us to our cottage! One thing to know, the cottage did not have chairs, umbrella, or snorkeling gear. We were lucky because we had family that rented another house on the island that had plenty of chairs and their beach was right next to The Dunmore. Everything on Harbour Island, for the most part, is expensive. When you're packing, throw in coffee, cereal & snacks- you'll be glad you did! A case of beer is 50 bucks. Liquor is not bad- we found a liquor store on Bay Street that had great prices on wine! We had an excellent week in Harbour Island!"

  • Amazing

"We loved the property . It was so cosy and clean. It really felt like a home away from home !!! The house manager/housekeeper was always available to answer any questions about the house . This alone is so important while getting used to the in and outs of staying at a property for the first time . It was one of the most carefree holidays I have had on the island . The house was perfect for all our family needs ."

  • Slice of Paradise

"Seabreeze was a great choice for our family of 5. Plus 2. Very comfortable. The location is perfect. Gorgeous view of the harbor & the yachts coming in to dock at Ramora Bay or Valentines. The house is located between the two. We even have a dock that we all loved jumping off of and finding starfish. Seabreeze is perfect to sit at night and watch the beautiful sunsets. The pool was an added bonus for entertainment for the kids and adults ;). Just a quick Golf cart ride or walk down the street to the other side to walk the Pink Sand Beach. We had a great time on Harbour Island. Loved the restaurants & beach bars and of course the Conch Salad at Queen Conch is a must. And don't forget a cold Kalik. Julia the owner went over and above to help us with our planning. She was quick to respond to anything you needed. The staff was very helpful as well."
