  • The perfect destination for peace and relaxation ! THE place to "unplug" in comfort and beauty!

"My daughter and I have just returned from the most relaxing vacation on the island of Eleuthera, spending 4 nights in Kathleen's amazing home! The pictures only begin to capture the beauty! We spent every morning in the hammocks- cup of coffee in hand listening to the waves crash below. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook meals- spices too! We enjoyed eating at the large center island- easily comfortable for a group of six! The design of the house was very well thought out - airy and comfortable- with very high end details which added to the feel of luxury. The beds were very comfortable- loaded with fluffy pillows! Kathleen detailed directions on how to reach the house were perfect. We had to make last minute changes in flights and the airport we were flying into due to family emergency - Kathleen quickly responded with new directions with grocery stores were on the new route. There was literature and maps of the island at the house that we used to determine which beach to try each day! And there are many!! Surfer's Beach was beautiful - very large waves- too large the day we were there for my daughter to try surfing for the first time- but enjoyed watching a couple other surfers out on the waves. About 30 minutes north of the home was the "Glass Window"- truly spectacular with the Quiet Caribbean on one side and the crashing waves of the Atlantic on the other. On the way to the Glass Window- there was a great restaurant with Vegetarian options called the Laughing Lizard. The best Rosemary Iced tea! We also went snorkeling off the cape- in south Eleuthera- amazing!! Again a first experience. We left extra business cards for Capt. Daryl Miller in the kitchen by the other resources- he took extra time teaching us and took us to special prime spots for snorkeling. I could go on .... truly the best and most relaxing vacation I have had! Thanks again Kathleen- your hospitality and home are out of this world!!"

  • Escape from Montana's winter weather...

"We spent 10 days at Serendipity and had a wonderful experience. This was our first Bahamas vacation and it was just what we needed, as winter started early in Montana this year. Serendipity was comfortable and its location on Spanish Wells was central to dining, shopping, and other required services. And, a very short walk to the beach! We'll plan on visiting again, soon."

  • Perfection!

"Our family stayed at DriftAway in March and everything about it was perfect. From our arrival, the property manager Darrin was extremely accommodating. He transported our bags in the back of his pickup while we arranged the golf cart. He also did the same upon our departure. Very helpful and responsive - kudos to Darrin. The house itself is amazing and the location is perfect. Our family LOVED the ocean views and the shade the little cabana offered. At low tide, you are able to walk out quite far in the gorgeous turquoise water. It is also an ideal location for shelling. We found sand dollars, conch, green sea urchin, clam, snails and star fish - so much fun! The water was calm enough for our little ones to enjoy. The sunsets are also AMAZING. The yard is beautifully manicured and allowed enough room for our family to run around in and enjoy. The inside of the house was extremely clean and decorated with a driftwood theme. We honestly we unable to find anything wrong with it. Everything was operational and included all of the amenities we are used to. We are completely in love with this property and cannot wait to go back. Thanks to the owners for sharing your home!"

  • Rustic charm, fantastic beachside location

"This was our second year staying at the Bahamas Beach House and we enjoyed it as much as we had the first time. The house is not fancy, but is very comfortable, and has a well-equipped kitchen, and a new gas grill-crucial for grilling lobster tails! Wth a wide-open second floor, it is best for a couple, or a family that doesn't mind giving up some privacy. The outdoor shower is great for rinsing off or bathing in nature. It's so soothing to be lulled to sleep by the sound of waves, which are easily heard with the windows open. The house's kayak makes it easy to explore Spanish Wells, Russell Island and the tip of Eleuthera by water. The caretaker, Johnny Underwood, is a great help for things around the house, golf cart rentals, or for tips on what to do around the island. Spanish Wells is changing fast, with several new homes going up nearby, a new liquor store within walking distance, and a new waterfront dining option at Wreckers. Get there now before it changes too much, and enjoy the quiet and solitude at this house!"
