  • Great beach for kids!

"What a great place! A real treat after a not so great rental in Exuma. Much appreciated the clean and comfortable beds. Very clean and bright in the house, but the best thing was being right on the beach. The wind blew during our entire vacation, so it was great to be on the Caribbean side. We were able to go in the ocean daily even when the Atlantic side was extremely rough. Close enough for a short drive to Dean's blue hole – which was awesome...The cottage had all the basic cooking utensils, a few puzzles, and plenty of books for adults – but if you have kids, definitely bring a few games and/or books for entertainment. The beach is amazing during the day, but the bugs will come out at about 4 o'clock, and then you will need things to do inside – or a whole lot of bug spray! The owners were great folks to work with, and the caretaker Nancy was great and very helpful as well. Thank you for everything!"

"What a beautiful experience, from the time you pull up, till you leave !!!!! One of the greatest places we have ever rented. Carol was so great to deal with, trust her you won't be sorry. On-A-Whymm will keep you finding things you never thought you'd find in a rental from spices to cook, to extra everything you could need. GREAT PLACE."

  • Without question best 3 bedroom rental on the island

"Very similar to a previous review from John, my husband and I have travelled the various family islands for over 20 years. We agree whole heartily with his review, so no need to repeat! I will add that we have rented everything from roadside apartments to elaborate homes depending on who is accompanying us. Long Island itself has a great selection of beaches, local flavour, DIY bonefishing as well as available experienced guides, and overall a great family, friends or fishermen's dream. We prefer the central area of Deadman's Cay and south as the pace is slower than the north. Ron's home is without a doubt the most well maintained and spacious we have ever rented. Whether you are star gazing on the front sea side veranda, or having quiet time in the screened in room there is plenty of space to spread out. We even had our grandson (11 months old) down and he enjoyed exploring all the open space, and ron's coffee table was an instant hit! The owner is very meticulous and the home is well maintained and we respected the care taken into its upkeep, and used it as if it were our own. We had an exceptional month visit, and feel privileged to have been able to stay at this home. Top notch, and do not hesitate to recommend."

  • Getting away from it all while still having it all

"Our first trip to the Bahamas — my wife and our two college-aged children and my sister and her husband. We wanted to get away from it all and have a relaxing time in the Caribbean — and boy did we ever. Much of the relaxation came because Judd and Dale took care of so many of the details for us. He told us which flights from Nassau to book. He had a taxi waiting for us. He helped us arrange our rental car. He told us about the island masseuse. Judd introduced us to Urshula, who cooked two unforgettable dinners for us at the house. He gave us tips and suggestions for more things to do than we’d have time for if we stayed there a month (which now that I mention it is a pretty good idea!). It’s impossible to overstate how helpful Judd and Dale were. The house is unbelievable. Walk through the front gate and there’s a lovely garden — a haven for birds, including a hummingbird during our stay. The pool and patio are exquisite and the view is unforgettable. At night you can’t believe the stars. Inside, the house has everything — the six of us were very comfortable. On Judd’s recommendation we went to Chez Pierre’s. You simply must go to Chez Pierre’s. Make your own drink at the bar, settle in and enjoy some of the best cooking anywhere. One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to Dean’s Blue Hole. The beach at Cape Santa Maria Resort is to die for. We can’t wait to return."
