  • Location and Privacy!

"My husband and I stayed here the last week of June-and would return in a heartbeat! It is located less than a 2 minute walk from an excellent beach where we spent much time swimming snorkeling and relaxing. Our host, Stuart, picked us up from the airport and stopped at a grocery store on the way to the cottage so we could get supplies. You do not need to buy any paper products or condiments and Stuart has 5 gallons of potable water in the cottage already. He lives next door so is quickly available if needed but never arrived uninvited or unannounced. He knows LOTS of people so if you rent a car (we did) talk to him first. We enjoyed Ardastra Gardens, just minutes away, and also recommend the drive to and the restaurant at Compass Point. The bedroom loft would be the only drawback here if you are unable to take stairs, otherwise staying here feels like being in the community rather than being in a generic resort."

  • What a magical experience!

"Our family spent 10 glorious days aboard Fairskies over the New Year holiday. From the moment we were greeted at the marina until we left we were treated like royalty! We had our very own personal chef to prepare all our meals, dinner was always the highlight with multiple courses and such incredibly attractive presentation. We had given the chef a list of our food preferences before we arrived and she didn't miss a thing. We are a very active family and try to eat healthy and every meal was prepared with that in mind. Our itinerary included a stop at Highbourne Cay where we explored the island and swam in the Atlantic. We anchored off Normans Cay and explored the ruins of a house once owned by a very famous drug lord or so we were told. The next day we anchored at Shroud Cay which is in the Bahamas Nation Sea Park where the crew prepared a wonderful lunch on a private beach which we got to by using the tender and traveling down a natural river that cut through the island. We didn't want to leave but the next day we arrived at Staniel Cay and got to feed the only swimming pigs I know of in the world and then we snorkeled at the world famous Thunderball Grotto which appeared in a James Bond film. Our cabins were attended to every morning and our beds were turned down every evening while we feasted on our gourmet dinner. We also were able to enjoy some watersports and the kids were able to go water tubing and paddle boarding. No one wanted to leave and the 10 days went by much too fast. We are already planning a return trip next winter!"
