  • Hats off to the Abacos!!!

"My Wife and I visited Hope Town 20 years ago on our Honeymoon. We always wanted to get back. The crowd has grown some since then and it took 20 years, but it was well worth the wait! The house was prefect, the weather was great, and everyone had a great time island hopping. The power seems to go out on the island quite often. I would have never thought to ask about a generator. But thank goodness we had a generator. We stayed for two week and the power went off 5 or 6 times. We were not even aware on most occasions that the power was out, other than if you went outside you would barely hear the generator running out there. Our house keepers, they were great people, gave us a list of things to do on the island, and gave us the heads up about many other events and goings on that we should try to make and they even stopped in from time to time to check on us. I big THANK YOU to them for being so hospitable! The vacation would not have been same without you! Lastly, over and above anything I have every experience! A big thanks to everyone! We were leaving had everything pack and ready to go. The house keepers picked us up timely, made the trip over in the ferry, got to the airport and realized we had forgotten a bag. It was the snorkeling equipment for the 7 of us! I thought it was gone forever! We had 90 minutes until our flight was going to leave and there was no way we were going to get the stuff back, chalk it up to my own fault for forgetting the bag. There was just not enough time. But wait! The person behind the counter for Delta heard us talking, approached us and said no worries, we can get that for you. Well she tried to call the care takers on the island. The power was out and the phones were down! It is lost forever. Hold on! She went outside talked to a cab driver and told her to pick up this bag at the ferry dock, it would be on the next ferry! I just smiled. What was about to happen was amazing. The cab driver radioed a head to the ferry dock told them of the problem. The ferry docked radioed across the bay to VBRO. VBRO radioed the care taker, who went back to the house, got the bag and got it to the ferry on time. The ferry captain gave the bag to cab driver who dropped it off at the airport and the Delta person found us in the airport and handed us the bag with a smile on her face. All with 15 minutes to spare! Absolutely amazing! I had nothing to say! That doesn’t happen anywhere other than in the ABACOS!"

  • Two weeks in paradise

"We have been to Treasure Cay several times, but never enjoyed our stay as much as we did at Castle Rock. The location is perfect on the windward side of the cay allowing for a great cooling breeze on warm days and protection from the northerly winds on cooler days. Although there was a well maintained pool and hot tub, we spent most of our time in the ocean and on the beautiful sand beaches. The home is perfect for several couples or a large family and it is well outfitted with all the required necessities. There is plenty to do on Treasure Cay, but you need to slow down and enjoy the perfect setting and warm/friendly people. We had a great two week rest and didn't want to return home."

  • Perfect Ground Floor Condo

"Best condo location at Bahama Beach Club. Step out the screen porch & you are on the beach. Walk up pool bar right next door with great food as well. Condo is very spacious, kitchen has all the necessary cookware, utensils, etc. & a carport for your golf cart. Only shortcomings were direct tv was not accessible & generator did not kick in the one time we lost power for a short period. However we did have the local cable network & who goes to abaco islands to watch tv anyway. If you go to the out islands, it is not always perfect, but all that is offset by the beauty & tranquility. Again, great condo & outstanding location."
