  • Awesome, modern, secluded beach house

"This place was the perfect getaway for a family of four who wanted a quiet, secluded place to stay with a beach and coral reef right out the back door. The spacious house is quite modern with air conditioning, electricity, and hot water. There is a large master bedroom with a king size bed, and two smaller bedrooms with queen size beds. There are two large bathrooms, and a washing machine. The furniture is new and is in great condition, and the kitchen is equipped with everything one needs. There are three inflatable rafts for fun in the water, four sets of snorkeling gear (we brought our own though) and a single person sit-on-top kayak and paddle. The back porch is where we spent most of our time relaxing and watching the ocean. The little bay (Cutlass Bay) is fairly well protected but the ocean was still pretty rough (whitecaps) and, at least for the week of June 25-July 2 2016, too rough for kids' first snorkeling experience as they kept getting water in the snorkels. But the more experienced adult snorkeler among us went out every day, twice a day. The visibility was fair to excellent - worse in the afternoon when the surface water heats up and the phytoplankton get thick and turn the water green - but further out from the bay the visibility was consistently good to excellent. There is little boat traffic within the bay so no need for a dive flag. There are large swaths of dead coral, and the coral bleaching is pretty bad where the coral is very shallow, but there is new coral growing, including brain coral, staghorn coral, lots of sea fans and gorgonians, lots of sponges, and while there were few large schools of fish, the diversity was good - we identified over 60 species of fish in our short week there, plus there were many sea turtles although most were too shy to let a snorkeler approach. Interestingly and unfortunately, no moray eels. We drove to Greenwood Resort for lunch one day but discovered they weren't serving, so we drove to Fernandez Bay Resort twice - they have outstanding food and a self-serve bar that is on the honor system - but they are pretty expensive. Lunch for four cost $80 one day and $120 another day. The bay there is on the leeward side of the island and the water was calm enough for the kids to snorkel and swim safely. Issy and Yvonne were great and got us a car rental for much cheaper than one could get anywhere else. Groceries for four people ran around $300 for the week, including wine and beer."

  • Perfect ...

"My husband and I recently spent two weeks at this sweet little cottage, and found it to be the perfect place from which to explore Nassau. The cottage is exactly as the photos show .. very cozy and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed prepare our meals. Our favourite part of the cottage was the lovely patio .. comfortable seating, gardens all around, and frequent visits from the resident cats. I enjoyed watching the birds, and especially enjoyed seeing the parrots on a couple of occasions .. very exciting for a northerner !! Unfortunately, I did get bitten by the mosquitos .. although my husband did not .. so make sure you bring some protection if you are prone to bites. We chose not to rent a car and found the local jitney buses got us around nicely. I must say in closing that we have travelled extensively in different parts of the world and rent condos or cottages whenever we can. We have rarely encountered hosts more welcoming and gracious than Leonard and Chrissie. They are absolutely lovely people who obviously wish your vacation experience to be perfect, and nothing is too much trouble. We appreciated this very much. They have got it "just right". I would certainly recommend this cottage and would not stay anywhere else if we ever return to Nassau."

  • The Most Beautiful, Idyllic Home!!

"Words cannot adequately express how truly wonderful Bob and Josee's home is; from the spacious, three cottage layout, the magnificent pool, to the spectacular vistas (Sea of Abaco; abundant stars at night), my wife and I could not possibly imagine a nicer setting to enjoy a week in the Abacos with our family. We've stayed at Four Seasons properties, Ritz Carlton, Penisula, etc., but having just experienced what Dreams End Too provides, we would hands down state that this experience surpasses those easily. There was simply nothing that wasn't handsomely provided; every detail, every amenity, every need was thought through meticulously and lovingly - a place where one could truly relax and enjoy a wonderful surrounding without "noise" or having to worry about anything. We had easy access to local restaurants (Orchid Bay, Grabbers, Nippers, etc.), beautiful beaches, and nearby coral heads (we went to snorkel at Fowl Cay several times by boat; easy access). There was more than enough to keep a family with two teenage boys busy with plenty of uptime and downtime. The internet service (wifi) in the home is very good, which really eliminated the need to use expensive cellular service (to the extent one needs to check email...). There is a VOIP phone to call the US free of charge. Our evenings were spent basically hanging out and watching the Rio Olympics, which we had via satellite in HD. The house and its surroundings are ably looked after by "Doc" and Maria who couldn't have been more courteous or hospitable. I'm not sure which I'm going to miss more: the unbelievably comfortable sleep each night (on the softest sheets on the planet), the quiet evenings stargazing, or the solitude and quiet contentment we four enjoyed together each day, unplugged and at peace. We will most certainly be back! I cannot recommend Dreams End Too highly enough. You will find Bob and Josee incredibly responsive and attentive, rest assured. A pleasure and a privilege to share their home. Thank you!! John & Cindy G."

  • Beautiful island home

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Bonefish Cottage. It was perfect for long morning walks along the Atlantic Ocean, close to many beaches and the accommodations were perfect. The covered veranda was perfect for the rainy days we had - we could still sit outside and enjoy the tropical air (and not the raindrops). The kitchen was well equipped and the house was clean."
