  • Outstanding Position on Guana Cay

"We had a very relaxing stay at Dolphin Lookout. The property is exactly as described in the many reviews we read before booking - it has an outstanding location at the Southern tip of Guana Cay, looking over to Scotland Cay, with fabulous views from the deck. The property itself is small, more like a studio apartment, but as spacious as a nice hotel suite. And there is plenty of space on the deck to just sit/lie down and chill. We tended to eat out at lunch time and relax at Dolphin Lookout in the evenings, and take a night cap sitting under a palm tree and marvel at the night sky (tip: use starwalker app or similar on ipad to see what all those constellations are). Our strategy of staying home paid off on new year's eve, when the beach on Scotland Cay hosted an elaborate 20-minute firework display at 9pm. They must be a family friendly lot on that private island to have the fireworks so early, and we were certainly grateful for what felt like a show put on just for us at Dolphin Lookout! We enjoyed leaving the blinds open and waking up to glorious dawn skies. Our pilates teacher would have been proud of us as every day we strolled down to the boat dock and did our "boat dock" pilates session - always on the look out for Bob the Barracuda, who often turned up as we arrived. The restaurants are not outstanding, nor should they be when you consider the constraints of island life, but we were not disappointed. We particularly enjoyed eating at Orchid Bay. I would say they had the best and friendliest service and the verandah is lovely to sit on and watch all the boating activity as you dine. The wifi worked very well, and we put it to good use, not for browsing, but for listening to Spotify using the aux cable connected to the mini hi-fi system. We also had a few movie nights on Netflix and again used the aux cable, to deliver a nice surround-sound experience. It's certainly a good idea to buy groceries at Marsh Harbor as the local store is very limited but does have all the basics. But the best place to buy dinner is straight from the dock near the liquor store. We didn't have enough cash one day and the the local ATM was closed for business (i.e. Grabbers) - but we were able to buy some nice large cray fish tails for $6 and three bottles of local beer! Our favourite activity was just to relax and enjoy the stunning Cay Sera beach where we hardly saw another soul. A fabulous escape."

  • ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL - AS EXPECTED!

"Based on numerous other TA reviews, I booked this unit with confidence. It was all I had expected. The unit itself was gorgeous, fully equipped and perfectly situated within Atlantis. The whole Atlantis experience was just over the top for our group of friends and family who had gathered to celebrate my daughter's 50th birthday. Being able to do much (almost all) our own cooking save us big bucks, as the food at Atlantis is definitely a bit expensive. I would go back again in a heartbeat and book exactly the way I did this time. Cheers...Ed B."

  • NO WONDER WHY THEY CALL IT THE VISTA!

"As soon as I opened the door to the “Vista,” all I could say was, “Oh my God!” My jaw hit the floor! I was greeted with a massive wall of windows, overlooking a beautiful turquoise sea. This is such a gorgeous home. I felt so comfortable in it. The colors were so warm and soothing. The owners captured the very essence of what it is to have a place in the Caribbean. Every detail was perfect and blended in with the whole décor; the furniture, the wall hangings; even the cute bistro table by the window, where I sat each morning, as I soaked it all in while I sipped my cup of tea. As I looked out the window, I saw a picturesque beach below; no screaming kids; just total serenity. No need to lug everything into the car, because we were already at the beach, with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and an inviting pool that we practically had all to ourselves. I can’t believe I almost paid double the price for just a hotel room. Here I had a whole condo! A private bedroom that I didn’t have to share with the kids. A fully loaded kitchen, where I could cook my own breakfast to save money instead of eating out, or worse, having cold cereal every morning. A full-size refrigerator, big enough to fit all my food and beverages. And I have to mention all the little amenities that make the Vista so special: A cooler to bring my drinks down to the beach; laundry facilities right on the premises; a clothesline in the shower to hang my wet swim trunks; and let’s not forget, CENTRAL AIR! Granted, being on the eighth floor, most days we just opened the windows and enjoyed the cool ocean breezes. I can’t wait to come back again. And because the rental rates were so low, I’ll be able to return next year, instead of making it only a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience."

  • Wonderful!

"Our family trip to Green Turtle Cay was excellent, and the largest part of that was our rental of the Swanson House. The location is perfect, with the beach on one side and the dock on the other. Being close enough to town to walk to restaurants and shops was ideal too. Patricia, the caretaker, and her family were so helpful during our stay. One highlight was when Patricia's son took us on his boat to visit the pigs on No Name Cay and the sharks and stingrays on Manjack Island. The house itself is a delight, not fancy and a little quirky, but completely comfortable and very roomy. Snorkeling off the beach near the cut was pretty good, although we had a little more luck up at Coco Bay. Renting a golf cart and exploring the whole island was awesome. People in town were always friendly, and we enjoyed trying different restaurants every day. We have been to several islands in the Caribbean, and Green Turtle Cay is probably our favorite in terms of overall experience. Without a doubt, staying at the Swanson House was an excellent decision."
