  • Secluded property in paradise

"We really enjoyed our time on Windermere Island. The house is very nice and the bedrooms are spacious! Each has access to a bathroom including the single twin bedroom. The living area is open and nice for enjoying family. The home is nicely furnished and had lots of books, games, snorkels, and fins. There were lots of beach towels as well. We hired a chef, Kaynell Scavella, to prepare our meals and she was delightful. We planned each meal in advance and the food was amazing! We all miss Kaynell and Pebbles and the conch fritters. You can take the pool chairs to the beach - but it's not easy. So, we rented beach chairs and extra kayaks. The double kayak at Hamilton House is very nice. However, it's not recommended that you use these at the beach in front of the house as the water is rough and not as smooth as the Savannah Sound. Bobbette's (caretaker for the home) husband was able to take these over to the sound where the waters are calm, beautiful, and full of sea turtles. We really enjoyed kayaking there each day and it's a short bike ride away. The beach is very private (I think we saw 3 families the entire week). The home is situated near other cottage like homes that flank each side of Hamilton house down towards the beach (not visible in the picture of the property). I was thankful that we had a car as there are so many beautiful places to explore on Eleuthera. We spent one morning at Oceanview Farm near Governor's Harbour riding horses next to the ocean. I highly recommend this if you love horses. It was a treat for the group. We also hired Donald (Eleuthera Tours) to take us out to the Marker Cays. We snorkeled and found lots of sea biscuits and conch shells there. The boat was very small, but it was very nice and perfect for our family. We rode our bikes each night over to a dock at the end of the street to watch the sunset each night which was our favorite way end to each day. The home has good wifi and we only had one power outage (which is very common in the Bahamas). Fortunately, it didn't last very long. We traveled over to Harbour Island ($5/per person) for the day which was really fun. We rented a golf cart ($50) there and enjoyed lobster quesadilla's at Sip Sip. Finally, Matthew Simon (property manager), was extremely responsive and provided lots tips and helpful information to make our vacation truly special. If you are looking for a secluded piece of paradise - you will enjoy Hamilton House."

  • Perfect place to stay in Eleuthera

"The place is as advertised : Just perfect. Clean, a real house where you could live all year long with all comfort... and you wish you could considering the terrific view from the terrace. We just loved it and the kids also. Central to visit the island. And the car that comes with the house is the thing you need and it's very easy (you're picked up at the airport, driven to at the end of your stay - like a star). En Français : Vraiment un coin de paradis, très propre, bien placé. On se pince pour y croire tous les matins au réveil."

  • Can't wait to return!

"The last week in April, I was fortunate enough to spend a week in Treasure Cay with a friend. It was the perfect get away. The pictures on Pam's website don't do the condo justice. The condo is 1st rate. It's soooo comfortable, very clean and literally feet from the ocean. I've traveled quite a bit and the ocean at Treasure Cay is the prettiest blue I've ever seen. The sand is perfectly white. Being from Dallas I thought it might be difficult to get there, but it wasn't at all! Marsh Harbor has a nice airport that can land the big planes if that's your preference. Working with Pam made everything effortless. She really thinks of everything. Even down to the cab driver. I got to meet some really nice people there too. Everyone just wants you to have fun and relax. I can't wait to return to Pam's condo and Treasure Cay."
