  • Perfect romantic getaway

"The Round House is the perfect romantic getaway - simple elegance, eco-friendly, and from practically anywhere in the house you have spectacular views and fresh ocean breezes. We were there the latter part of November and didn't need the AC at all - just used the ceiling fans and open (fortunately screened) windows. We enjoyed having the extra outdoor shower, especially post-swim and to rinse our gear. The fabulous wrap-around porch offers some shade option(s) any time of day, which is essential. It's not exactly on the beach, but great just the same for hanging out. The lovely cabana down the path was a great spot to hangout, sip coffee in the morning, read a book, and watch the waves. The beaches in both directions are spectacular, so it's easy to walk from the house and explore. The water was a bit rough during our visit, so some times we just went to the other side of the island, less than 10 minutes away. The Round House is off the beaten path, though close enough to restaurants and town to make outings easy and enjoyable. We recommend a 4WD vehicle for practically anywhere you go - the vehicle available at the Round House (for additional cost) provides good, simple function. We also appreciated that a cooler and freezer blocks were provided. The natural decor and personal touches throughout the house and grounds are beautiful. Really enjoyed our host - Doon - a perfect balance of respecting our privacy and offering us great service and friendship. We would definitely go back."

  • Fabulous location and gracious hosts. Hands down, the most beautiful blue water you will ever see!

"Our trip was perfect, primarily because of the FANTASTIC location of this house. It is situated on the stunning Exuma blue/turquoise waters of Hoopers Bay. We visited during mid February when it can be windy on Exuma, though still warm and sunny ( High 70's to 80 F for our entire week), but since we were bringing our 3 year old we wanted to avoid large waves so we could play in the water as a family. Hoopers Bay turned out to be the perfect refuge, and we played in the water without fear of being knocked over while trying to teach our son to enjoy swimming. We also took turns snorkeling just a small walk down the beach to try to swim with the green turtles who make the calm waters of the bay their home. Though we saw them everyday, it wasn't until our final day that we were able to actually get a chance to swim among them. We were in the water with them for over an hour, and they let us interact by swimming near us, and coming to inspect us up close. They actually seemed to want to play! Without this location we would have never been able to have this experience. It took quite a few tries and it would not have been practical to keep returning to this spot in hopes of catching them. Also, the cottage was literally just steps to the beach, and waking up and having to just put on a swimsuit to go sit on the beach without having to pack everything and the kitchen sink was bliss. You know what I'm talking about if you have ever traveled with a toddler. The cottage itself was comfortable and clean. It had everything you would need for a short stay. It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, an efficiency kitchen and a small supply of kitchen essentials. This too was so helpful. We were able to keep our sons breakfast/lunch and nap routine because we didn't have to go in search of a restaurant for every meal. We brought a few non perishable items from home in the way of snacks and basics because the prices on the island are so high. We supplemented with things purchased at the local markets. We ate over half our meals at the cute and private outdoor dining area attached to our little cottage. Betty and Peter had everything perfectly organized and were amazing hosts. Their responses to all inquiries were prompt and very helpful. Peter was charming and a wonderful wealth of info for the island, as well as just a nice guy. We also rented their car for the week, which I recommend to be able to see the rest of the beautiful island. Already looking at next year!!"

  • Fantastic home that's value for money

"The house was beautiful, very clean, spacious, safe and quiet. This was just what we needed for the family and it was the perfect spot for us. The home was excellently equipped and had everything we could think of. We spent many hours in the lovely salt water pool and barbecued most evenings on the patio, we were very fortunate to have some unbelievable sunsets during our stay. The beach was just a short walk and it was lovely, we were also lucky to be there on Wednesday for the weekly fish fry, a lot of fun with music and a nice relaxing walk. James welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around and explained everything to us. He was also a wealth of information and knew everywhere to go and see. He even helped us with our dive package and pointed out the best places to go and snorkel. Our holiday was just perfect and we will most definitely be returning to this home again."

  • Love Bahama Beach Club!!!

"Our family has been travelling to Treasure Cay for almost 15 years. We discovered Bahama Beach Club a few years ago and must say this is our favorite unit. The unit was furnished with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. We enjoy cooking and grilling, so being on the first floor with direct access to the owner's grill was a big bonus. We loved the convenience of being on the 1st floor. It's nice having the outdoor swim up bar available for food and beverage when we don't feel like cooking. The decor was beautiful and inviting. We sometimes let our teens bring friends so having the third bedroom set up with the twin over full bed and another twin was the main reason we choose to stay here. Typically when we stay we have no need for a vehicle but usually splurge for a golf cart for a day or two. We love visiting the local bakery...the coconut bread is amazing! We are a rather low key family so we enjoy doing "nothing!" We love to stroll along the beach and venture to the sand bar where we sometimes are lucky enough to see some neat shells."
