  • Best front porch in Hope Town!

"We just returned from a great stay at Sam's Cottage - it was perfect for us. It is very clean and comfortable and looks just like the photos. The front porch is the best for hanging out, reading and just watching the boats come and go, and there's always a breeze. We rented a boat for our week, and the dock at Sam's Cottage was a luxury - just a few steps away. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the house is right in the middle of Hope Town (which we love), so if you are looking for seclusion, this may not be for you. There is some noise/music from Capt'n Jacks, a fun restaurant just a few steps away (the conch fritters are a must), and a couple of nights a week the music goes late. All in all, we loved it and will be back. Cudos to Paul and Sharyn for keeping such a nice rental home."

  • Spectacular views, great snorkeling

"We stayed here the last three days of our trip - mostly because our first place had no more nights available, but also for a change of scenery. (Central Eleuthera Atlantic side vs North Eleuthera Caribbean side). The view at Bahama Sunset is absolutely breathtaking, and the snorkeling just awesome. We saw numerous different species of fish, and lots of gorgeous fan coral. The long cement staircase provides great access to the water below - though the last set of steps without railing could be a bit unnerving for some. The deck has a spectacular view, but unfortunately offers very little shade, despite the overhang. We stayed here in late November and the sun beat on the deck all day until sunset. The lounge chairs on the deck are great, and there are plenty of floating mattresses. The indoor decor is simple, but nice. Basic amenities are okay. Shower head not great. (Styrofoam) cooler was nice to have, and the clothes line (with clothes pins) was a plus. Phillip, our host, was kind and gracious. We did not use the AC, just the ceiling fans and open (screened) windows, which kept the place plenty cool. Nearby tiny Gregory Town is actually super cute, though not a lot there. Great sightseeing and beaches nearby. Need the AWD vehicle, as the roads are rough and full of potholes."

  • Fun week at Beach Reach!

"We enjoyed our week at Beach Reach. The house was very clean and well stocked. The views are beautiful...I loved watching the sunrise every morning. Having the screen room was essential. The little islands were fun to snorkel around and loaded with snapper and lobster...unfortunately it was not lobster season during our stay. We would definitely come back to this house again. It might be time to get a new coffee pot. :) That was the only complaint we had...which is obviously very minor!"
