  • Hats off to the Abacos!!!

"My Wife and I visited Hope Town 20 years ago on our Honeymoon. We always wanted to get back. The crowd has grown some since then and it took 20 years, but it was well worth the wait! The house was prefect, the weather was great, and everyone had a great time island hopping. The power seems to go out on the island quite often. I would have never thought to ask about a generator. But thank goodness we had a generator. We stayed for two week and the power went off 5 or 6 times. We were not even aware on most occasions that the power was out, other than if you went outside you would barely hear the generator running out there. Our house keepers, they were great people, gave us a list of things to do on the island, and gave us the heads up about many other events and goings on that we should try to make and they even stopped in from time to time to check on us. I big THANK YOU to them for being so hospitable! The vacation would not have been same without you! Lastly, over and above anything I have every experience! A big thanks to everyone! We were leaving had everything pack and ready to go. The house keepers picked us up timely, made the trip over in the ferry, got to the airport and realized we had forgotten a bag. It was the snorkeling equipment for the 7 of us! I thought it was gone forever! We had 90 minutes until our flight was going to leave and there was no way we were going to get the stuff back, chalk it up to my own fault for forgetting the bag. There was just not enough time. But wait! The person behind the counter for Delta heard us talking, approached us and said no worries, we can get that for you. Well she tried to call the care takers on the island. The power was out and the phones were down! It is lost forever. Hold on! She went outside talked to a cab driver and told her to pick up this bag at the ferry dock, it would be on the next ferry! I just smiled. What was about to happen was amazing. The cab driver radioed a head to the ferry dock told them of the problem. The ferry docked radioed across the bay to VBRO. VBRO radioed the care taker, who went back to the house, got the bag and got it to the ferry on time. The ferry captain gave the bag to cab driver who dropped it off at the airport and the Delta person found us in the airport and handed us the bag with a smile on her face. All with 15 minutes to spare! Absolutely amazing! I had nothing to say! That doesn’t happen anywhere other than in the ABACOS!"

  • Beautiful sunsets & stargazing!

"This is our 22nd trip to Hopetown and the first staying at Four Winds – and we loved it! The house is well-maintained, the beds and furniture are comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked with appliances/dishes/serving ware, the outdoor shower is delightful, the location is convenient and the dock is great! There is a grocery, bakery and liquor store within walking distance, which was a concern being so far from town and preferring to rent a boat rather than golf cart. There is good snorkeling right of the dock, along the rock walls and we saw lots of sea creatures swim by ( large rays, schools of jacks and a very large puffer fish which seemed to make under the dock his home). The sunsets were pretty, the air conditioning effective and the deck just the right size for enjoying eating outside and star gazing at night. Liked others have posted, we hesitate to recommend it for fear it won’t be available when we want to come back, but you will not be disappointed with a stay at Four Winds."

  • Awesome news years family get away.

"Our family stayed in this Riviera Towers condo from Dec 2016-Jan 2017. I have stayed in this building many times before and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Despite a significant hurricane just three months before our visit, the condo and building were in great shape. We had a wonderful family vacation. Everyone was very friendly and there were a lot of families there. There was no shortage of folks to tell us where to get groceries, fish, sightsee etc. The condo was clean and had a well equipped kitchen with dishes, a cooler for the beach, plenty of towels, good internet access and cable TV. The beach is quiet and one of the best on the island. It's perfect for kids. The pool is clean and in great shape. The condo is any easy walk to lots of attractions or you can slide next door and have Nathan make you an island drink at the oceanside bar/grill. We had an awesome relaxing family getaway and plan to return. You simply can not beat this place."

  • Perfect , relaxing, and so beautiful

"We went with our 4 children ages 13-20 and we had more than enough space. It is 10 minutes from Port Lacaya and we are so glad we stayed here and not in the 'touristy' area. The snorkeling was fabulous right outside the backyard. We went to Grand Bahama Scuba to become certified divers and would highly recommend them for diving. Fred and Sue gave detailed and accurate information to make your way around town. The beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this place to everyone traveling to the area. We made such memories in the comfort of a home."
