  • Quaint place, perfect location, best host!

"This was the perfect little spot, just removed enough to remain quiet, but close enough that you can walk to the excitement. Our host Trevor was very helpful, checking in on us and available to answer questions at any time! He provided a local cell phone in case we got lost or needed to call him for anything. He even ended up mailing a postcard for me and dropping us to the airport! He even answered my international texts prior to our arrival! Such a good soul. The suite upstairs had all the amenities for us as a couple who wished to explore and take in the tastes and sights around us - able to bring groceries home to cook or take-out food to warm up! The wrap around deck was perfect for the day it rained as we were able to sit outside playing cards and drinking local beer to stay cool. If we ever come back to The Gap in Barbados, we will be sure to stay here again."

  • "Your home away from home... but friendlier and warmer"

"We experienced extremely friendly and efficient service from the time we began to research the property. Barbara was quick to answer all of our questions by e-mail, and reserving and arranging payment was smooth. We were warmly greeted by Barbara and Sugrim, and presented with coconut bread right out of the oven, with additional treats throughout the week. She arranged a tour for us, and helped us find our way to local shops and restaurants, and could not have been. The property is safe, clean, and tranquil. Prepare to be visited by chickens, turtles, and the occasional monkey or cat. The grounds are beautiful with all kinds of flowers, banana, mango, and mahogany trees. The cottages are immaculately clean, private, and impeccably decorated with keen attention to detail. They are cleaned twice a week-- with full cooking facilities, fridge, kettle, microwave, stove, and a safe and A/C in your bedroom. It would have been quite enough to stay in the cottage for the full stay-- but alas, there were other things to do on the island! The cottages are a 5 minute walk from the beach, and an easy walk to shops, farmer's market, restaurants, and buses into Bridgetown and Oistins. We loved the relaxing tranquil atmosphere and of course, our hosts-- who have created a relaxing island getaway, and one that we will be returning to. Glenville is a testament to the warmth and hard work of her owners Barbara and Sugrim and their staff Claude and Deb. We only wished we could have stayed longer. Book early-- word is getting out!"
