  • This villa exceeded our expectations and was wonderful

"Visiting Barbados was the perfect vacation. The people there were friendly and yet left you alone. They were not hounding you constantly to buy things. Gingerbread villa was way bigger than what we needed for 2 people, but we loved every inch of it and enjoyed the plunge pools especially and the sun deck up top. We spent our mornings relaxing at the pool and beach and our afternoons exploring the island. Cheryl, the cook, was marvelous. She cooked exactly what we wanted and even tweaked her recipe when she found out our likes and dislikes. Jessica, the housekeeper, kept things neat and tidy and having our laundry done was such a blessing. We had none to do upon our return home. The views and the beach on this property were unmatched. I cannot remember a time when I felt so refreshed just floating in the calm waters anywhere else. It was clear and breathtaking. We are already trying to figure out when we can return and bring our children. This was the best vacation we have ever had."

  • Lovely villa with beautiful gardens and pool

"I have stayed at Lazy Days on a few occasions and I'm always very happy here. It's in a great location, within an easy walk to Holetown and the facilities there, although we always hire a car as we like to travel around the island. The villa is very adequately fitted out with pretty much everything you might need, although some bits are slightly dated. But the major plus side is a very lovely outdoor area including a good sized pool. It was clean and well maintained and we had the option of getting the cleaner in during our stay if we had wanted. As we were able to do our own laundry and ate out a lot, we didn't find this necessary. The bedrooms are a good size with plenty of space for my mountain of clothes etc! Lots of hangers and large amounts of drawer space. Both the owner and the house manager, Norma, were extremely helpful and efficient and as soon as we encountered a small problem with a lock, someone was there to sort it out within half an hour! You can't get this sort of service in London! There are lots of lovely bars (Zaccios is lovely for sundowners), restaurants (my favourite is Tides), cafes (Cafe Carizma at the Chattel House shops is great for breakfast and coffee and they also have live music some nights) and shops, along with the lively Holetown beach, all within a 10 minute walk. The villa is excellent value for money and I would have no hesitation in either returning, or recommending it to friends (in fact I already have!). I have only deducted one star simply due to the slightly dated aspect of some of the kitchen appliances etc but this in no way spoiled our holiday. I love staying here! It's quiet and we felt very secure - I've never had any issues on that front when I've stayed here. A big thank you to both Julie and Norma for making our stay so easy and enjoyable and for allowing us to use the facilities until we had to leave for the airport. I hope to return as soon as possible!"

  • Perfect Beach House

"Worth every penny staying at Bon Vivant. Staff were superb and catered to our every need and more. We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. Such a lovely laid back beach house. Not fancy in anyway but perfect laid back luxury. The facilities were awesome. Large gym, table tennis, basketball court, trampoline, diving board, snooker etc etc. It was a bit like staying in your own small leisure complex! We did go to the beach a few times and it is a lovely spot at Sandy Lane and is just an easy/short walk. The tennis courts are also just around the corner too. Overall, we loved it and would highly recommend the house and the staff."

  • Wonderful family experience!

"The property is well cared for and makes you feel secure. It is a short walk to the Carribean Sea, as displayed in the images. There is also a small grocery store within minutes to gather all of your food needs. I would recommend this villa to anyone bringing their family to this incredible island."
