  • Fantastic modern clean Villa with a great swimming pool !! But NO AIR CON :(

"When we got there we were received very well by Franklin, him and his wife Juliet looked after us very well. Nothing was too much trouble they cleaned out the pool as soon as they could when birds fell in it .. also replaced the kettle and generally were very helpful.. The villa was clean modern and very spacious and they provided plenty of crockery, cutlery and towels.. We were a family of 9 staying and we had plenty of space... We absolutely loved it but only one set back that it had no Air Con although they provided us with floor fans in every room upstairs , downstairs got really hot and there was not much breeze.. Also they need to provide mirrors in the bedrooms as we had to queue up to use the mirror in the bathrooms. .. We could not access the WIFI on the top floor which was inconvenient as we had to stay downstairs to use our tablets and mobile phones.. These are the only negatives points apart from that I would definitely recommend this villa ideally for 9 to 10 people... We had a cockerel waking us up in the morning , monkeys in the garden and of course we were visited constantly by the dreaded mosquitoes !! If the Air Con is put in I would have definitely given our villa five stars... !!!"

  • A Home From Home!

"This was our second time staying at Mullins Bay House, we loved it so much the first time it was an easy decision to book the house again. There were 12 in our group, age range from 6 to 80 years old. The estate is brilliant for family groups, flexible accommodation, generous outside space with beautifully kept gardens and a large pool. The house is clean, comfortable and Andrew and Juanita looked after us very well. Mullins Bay House is a great base to explore the Island from. Everything is within easy reach, from the beautiful West coast beaches to the rugged and wild East coast. We highly recommend Calypso Cruises run by Nick & and his father Val Knowles. They offer several packages, there's a fantastic 5 hour lunch cruise where you can swim with turtles, snorkel and explore shipwrecks......with unlimited food and drink! A hit with both young and old. We also did the 3 hour sunset cruise this time which was fantastic too. There are a large and varied range of eateries to choose from on the Island but if you want to eat 'in' the local fish markets are great offering lovely fresh fish (and advise on how best to cook it) and the vegetable stalls by the roadside offer a huge variety of fresh local produce. So if you want a completely chilled out holiday lazing on the beach or by the pool with a rum punch in hand or a more active holiday exploring the Island, look no further. Thank you Simon and Sarah for opening up your house for us to enjoy...again!"

  • Xmas in Barbados

"Hi Just back from spending Xmas at this fantastic villa.. We had a great time. The villa itself is just lovely, the pictures do not do it justice. There were six of us, all adults, and we had plenty room, not cramped at all. I wish i could say it was like home from home, but my home isn't is nice as this. Very relaxing. The area is superb, a few minutes walk to one of the nicest bays on the west coast. Beautiful sand and sea. The sunbathing and swimming are great. We swam with the turtles just off the shore several times during our stay.. The beach bars and restaurants serve good food and drink and are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this villa and hope to go back.. John .."

  • Brilliant :-)

"This was our first visit to Barbados... We absolutely loved it!! The apartments were great - they are set in lovely tropical gardens and have everything you would need for a self catering holiday at a reasonable price! We visited several amazing places on the island, but Holetown was definitely our favourite.. We would definitely recommend it! The apartments are perfectly positioned for all amenities - close to lovely beaches/ supermarket/ shops/ cafes/ bars/ bus stop etc. Also, the beach house is just across the road - Its a lovely private swimming pool/bar for Suncrest residents :-) We would like to say a huge thanks to Mata & her family for letting us stay in the apartment - Mata was a wonderful host & went out of her way to make us feel at home on our first visit to Barbados. She gave us plenty of information on the best things to see and do around the island & it was great to have a couple of drinks with her before we left. We would love to stay again sometime soon!! Thanks again, Lindsay & Michelle x"
