  • Great Location

"I love that the condo is in close proximity to San Pedro. The condo was in good condition with plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans. It is close to a grocery mart, but I would recommend going to the larger grocery stores in the center of town. Although Christine, the manager was nice and available by email, when she greeted us it was as if she was in a rush. I had to ask all of the questions. It would be nice to provide a longer welcome. For example, we didn't know anything about bike rentals, golf cart rentals, restaurants, etc. It would have been nice to have a warmer welcome. Everyone in my party of 9 felt the same way. If you don't have time, maybe a welcome packet with tips. It was our first time on the island and after the warm-hearted reception we received from a stay in San Ignacio, this was a quite a change. Otherwise the condo was nice. I would recommend beach chairs that are foldable instead of having to drag them across to the beach area. The tide was high, so don't expect a beach directly across from condo. You have to walk towards San Pedro for more beach like features. Beaches in Ambergris were disappointing."

  • Loved Belize, loved Grand Caribe, loved this condo!

"This was our first trip to Belize. We spent 9 days at this wonderful condo in late May with our sons, 17 and 21. It was a perfect vacation for our family to be together one last time before our younger son graduated and left for a military academy. Jeff and Lezlie are super hosts and provided tons of information about the property and Ambergris Caye before we left. It was particularly helpful to get tips on arranging flights from Belize City. Travel went smoothly and the case of Beliken we had preordered was waiting and cold when we arrived! The condo is very large and beautifully decorated and appointed. Everything is well-maintained, and the resort staff was quick to respond to any request. The kitchen has everything you need. I wish we'd done more cooking, in fact, and would make grocery shopping in San Pedro more of a priority next time. There are plenty of fruit stands, bakeries and grocery stores, and the trip into town is always fun. The location of the condo, facing a sandy area with palm trees, is really perfect. It is the closest location to the water on the whole property. Hanging out on the patio and talking with the boys was one of the highlights of the trip for me. The pools are wonderful, and the pool bar is staffed with the absolute nicest guys you'll meet. Ask them to do card tricks! You can hang on the side of the pool, staring at the postcard-perfect trees and water for really is paradise. At Jeff and Lezlie's suggestion we arranged 2 boat outings with Martin. Ask them for contact information - he and his first mates are a lot of fun. The first day we went snorkeling and the 2nd day we went fishing and snorkeling, and had a beach barbeque. Best ceviche I will probably ever have in my life! One of the other highlights of the vacation for me was discovering the daily yoga classes at the resort next door, Ak' Bol. It's a 3 minute walk up the beach from Grand Caribe to take a class for $15 in the morning or late afternoon. Classes are held under a thatched roof on a dock with the breeze blowing and the water lapping underneath - so relaxing! In the mornings the guys would have breakfast at the good little restaurant right on the beach and wait for me to finish class. I would come back with the family, or for a girl's week, for sure. I would bring more reading material next time. It really is a place to unwind and relax. Enjoy!"

  • Awesome beachside location

"Our group has a great time at Jamie's beach house. He was there to meet us at the boat dock when we arrived on the water taxi and took us on a quick of the town on the way to the house and pointed out all of the best restaurants and important stops. The house was a quick 10 minute walk from the Central Park, main attractions and guided tours. The A/C and wifi worked great and came into handy as it's very hot in Belize. The water pressure wasn't that good but considering it's where we were it was good enough. Our group would certainly come back to Jamie's place."

  • Fun and Beautiful

"No complaints. It was great to see the sun rise and set on the beach. The accommodations were perfect for my family. The two bathrooms and 3 showers definitely came in handy. You will need a golf cart if you want to explore the island but there is small store within walking distance. Wolfgang was great about providing us with plenty of information before our arrival and making the arrangements for our golf cart. His staff (Eldon & Mirta) was also very great and took excellent care of us. They helped in every way possible from arranging for taxis or tours to recommendations on food and sightseeing and even laundry. I would definitely return. I do recommend bringing bug/mosquito repellant to the islands and using it. We brought plenty and it helped to keep the bugs away."
