  • Beautiful resort in a great location

"We stayed in a 3 bedroom for two weeks and then moved to another 3 bedroom for week three. Both units are similar in layout however the second one was nicer, more updated, and more privacy bedroom wise. Everything was as advertised. Loved the property and location. Downfall was all of the stairs and no restroom at the pool/beach area. Another note if you need to run the A/C the main level bedroom would hear it. It did not affect us but might bother others. Fell in love with the island and we are currently looking for property to buy. Would highly recommend a visit to the island in paradise."

  • Beautiful Beach Getaway

"We took a trip with girlfriends and wanted a place that was safe but private and serene. This beach house was the perfect match. It has incredible views of the ocean, open sky and natural landscape. Our focus was relaxation and tranquility away from our busy lives and this place met all our expectations. There are many niches to find solitude even in a large group. From rooftop to veranda, dock or infinity pool or the soft sandy beach there is a place for you to find that place to just relax and get away from it all. The home is equipped with a beautiful kitchen with granite counter tops and fabulous new stove. We enjoyed some meals at the place and sat out on the veranda overlooking the pool and it was just gorgeous.Personally, I'm a big eating out person so was thrilled to find out there was a restaurant close by and another just down the beach. Portifinos was an excellent place and was within close walking distance. Not only do they have great food there but they are so kind and friendly and will handle your excursions from their dock as well. When our vacation was over we dreamed about this beautiful home and beach and decided to repeat the vacation the next year."

  • Better than expected!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I did a lot of research before I booked with LaPerla, we were 2 families totaling 10 people ages 17 to 50, we stayed in 5 bedroom Pearl. This has got to be the best place there! Perfect setting and location, I emailed a head and asked that beer and certain amenities be in the house upon arrival and they were. There was always someone available if you had any questions or needs. Now that the road is so well developed the distance from town was not an issue. This was a dream vacation with a blended family. Our next adventure I would like to go somewhere other than Belize (have been 3 times) but I have yet to find a location and comfort that this place provided us, I cannot say enough about this place! Privacy, amazing pool, beautiful location, complete package!"

  • Will come back in a heartbeat

"We, 2 adults an 2 teenage kids, stayed for 8 days, a week after the hurricane, and the property was pristine thanks to Antonio. White fine sand. Beautiful house. Open living spaces. Air conditioning was very nice for us northerners. We used it less and less during our stay. Pool is a real plus which is refreshingly cooler than the ocean. Location is excellent being far enough from San Pedro away from development, but just close enough for the golf cart. I'd recommend a 6 person cart if your group is more than 2 since getting supplies from town can use the extra room. Plus passengers can sit facing forward. The reef is a 15 minute paddle with the 2 kayaks at the house. There are no anchors at the reef so bring a long rope for snorkeling to tie to you. No snorkel gear at the house so it's worth bringing your own. House has a bbq too. A fellow named Clinton took us on a local fishing/lobster trip in front of the house and to Mexico rocks preserve just up the coast. He cooked with the house bbq and served us too for a major highlight of our trip. Portofino resort restaurant is a 5 minute walk to the north and is very enjoyable. In other words, the house was in the perfect location for us. None of the resorts nearby are more than 2 floors that I could see. Improvements? Well there is a small stretch of road that is unimproved, but that is in dispute and will probably get improved soon. The kitchen could be more appointed if you are really serious about cooking. Steve Childress was indispensable for us first timers setting up our travel connections and activities. You wanna be him. We were late arriving into Belize city and missed the last ferry. Steve got us set up with Mayan air who would normally be closed. He met us at the airport w our cart and guided us at night to the house with a pitstop at the market. Take his locals advice since there are so many choices for a tourist. And Antonio is a wealth of Belizean perspective."
