"We had such a wonderful stay at Hummingbird Suites. Luis was an amazing host and did everything he could to accommodate us during our stay. He even gave us a ride to the ferry pier when it was time to leave without us even asking him! The pictures accurately depict what the apartment looks like. It's very cozy and just a very short walk from the beach. There is a golf cart rental place right next-door, so that was convenient for us too! The beds were comfy, there was plenty of hot water, and the kitchen was fully equipped. We walked down the street a few times to pick up some groceries so we could just cook at the apartment, which was a nice change of pace every once in a while. There are so many great restaurants that were very easy to get to with a golf cart. Hummingbird Suites is very quiet, so if you're looking for a rowdy place to stay, this is not for you! We loved going out to different places each night though and then being able to come back to a quiet place to sleep. The price is incredible for what you're getting!!!"

"Thanks so much Conrad, we had an amazing week. We spent a lot of time with Genie and his boys, snorkeling and diving. Camille was so helpful too. All the locals we met made us feel like "regulars" even though this was our first visit to Belize. We ate at restaurants all week, but bought crappy burritos and pretty-nice tamales from Victor early every morning. The house is in such a nice location. We all stayed in the bottom half since we had our 12-yr-old along and didn't want to leave her alone, but used the top half for hanging out and cocktail hours. We loved the drinks at Rojo and the food at Sun Deck. Saw turtles, sharks, rays, manatees, dolphins, eels, lionfish - and learned to love ceviche with conch we helped (not so much) bring up from the ocean floor. The whole week's forecast called for clouds/rain, but we had great weather every day. Sunny all day/breezy at night. We wouldn't call the house luxurious in any way, but is a true beach house. and being independent from a resort is exactly what we loved about it. Wonderful week!"

"We loved our time at Bobbie & Steve's place. We loved that it was away from everything and quiet. We only spent 5 nights - but we should have stayed 5 more nights. The room was perfect, clean and perfect for two. The bed was comfortable and the breeze at night was just right through the cabana. You would never know that it is running off of solar power or rain water.
The days that we stayed on the property we took out the kayak/paddle boards and paddled down to some truly private beaches with NO ONE around - it was so peaceful and quiet, something we have never experienced before. We explored a ton in the water and on the beaches. The days we spend out on tours, Bobbie & Steve arranged for us, we didn't have to worry about a thing! The only thing that travelers should be aware of is the bumpy golf cart ride out to the property, about 30-40 minutes. But knowing that ride gets you to a really private location that is soooo quiet and peaceful is worth the ride and we would do it again!"
