  • Relaxing Stay at Sunset Beach Resort

"I, along with three other friends, recent returned from a great trip to Belize, where we spent part of our time in this condo. The description of the listing was very accurate and the condo fit our needs perfectly. It is in a great location... close enough to easily head into town for dinner or shopping, but far enough away from the activity to be quiet and feel secluded. There are several restaurants and bars within easy walking distance to the resort -- we visited a couple (Island Time, Lone Star, and Nest Grill) during our stay. Chapin does a great job keeping the resort grounds clean and he's available to help with an issues (not that we had any). The pool was great and we never had any issue getting lounge chairs -- admittedly, only about a third of the units were occupied during our stay. The unit is well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, utensils, cups, ice trays, etc. There is even a cabinet with a few beach items, sunscreen, etc. from previous visitors. We loved eating on the private balcony with the gorgeous view and a wonderful breeze. There is also a hammock and several other chairs. We made a couple breakfasts in the unit using eggs and hand-made tortillas from the small market down the street. We also grilled on the BBQ one night. We ended up only doing one snorkeling trip, but it was great. A private tour where they picked us up right from the dock at the resort. We stopped at Hol Chan, Shark Ray Alley, and Coral Gardens, before heading on to Caye Caulker for lunch and time to walk around. The trip was a blast. Since we were there at the end of the dry season, we didn't see many mosquitoes. In fact, rarely used any bug spray and had no bites. We rented a golf cart (highly recommended) which provided us with flexibility to move around the island and we found it a fun way to travel. Note that it can be a bit bumpy for people on the back of the cart. Overall it was a fantastic trip. The other people staying at the resort during our time there were really nice and the atmosphere at the resort is relaxed and friendly. I look forward to visiting Belize again and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

  • Home away from home

"It's difficult to decide where to begin this review! When everything is as excellent as it is at Casa Paradiso, it's tough to know where to begin. The home itself isn't just beautiful, it has a feeling of home. The interior and exterior were designed to optimize your experience of the beautiful Caribbean that's just outside your door. The pool? Perfect. Location? Perfect. Everything you need is there inside and out. We walked for miles every day with plenty of places to stop for a drink and even a nibble. We met tourists and residents everywhere we went and they were all a joy to know. Some of our fav local eats/experiences: Marbucks, the Truck Stop, Dive Bar (ask for Fito to snorkel, Chino for a dive), Mexico Rocks and HolChan and SkarkRay Alley (if swimming with the sharks and rays are your thing. It was amazing!) But admittedly, you'll have days you just want to drink in the comfort and views from the Casa. We can't say enough about how well we were taken care of by the owners and Orlando, their caretaker. He's awesome! And incredibly responsive. Always returned calls/texts in minutes. And he's got an answer or solution for any needs you may have. Casa Paradiso is a home away from home you'll want to return to again and again. We can't wait to go back in a couple months!"

  • Excellent Property, Great Service, Wonderful Location, Responsive Owner

"This was the perfect VRBO for my trip. - Mike, the owner, was very responsive to my emails and questions - The property itself is spacious, clean, modern, and has a perfect location for those looking for a beach getaway as it is on the water and close to a dock and pool - The property is wonderful and the staff will bend over backwards to make sure you are having a great time - I'm a very picky about deciding on a place to stay and did extensive research on this site and the hotels in the area and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience One small issue - the resort is expanding so there is nearby construction. If you are an early riser, it won't impact you but once the construction is complete it won't be an issue any longer."

  • Great place to stay

"Friend and I came for some diving. The condo was perfect for our needs. Close enough to town so we could walk, rooms were clean and well kept. The info sheet provided when we booked was a great help. The complex was quiet at night and a good nights sleep was not an issue. This is not a luxurious resort with all the amenities. If you are looking for a home place to chill out and crash, this is the place for you. I would not hesitate to book the unit on our next trip. If your going diving, Chuck and Robbie's dive shop just down the beach was just awesome. They set us up for 3 days and had great dive masters. A job well done. Wayo's Beachside Bar just a few feet towered town on the beach is a great place to chill and hang out. Make sure you bring a few Belize dollars to play the dice game with the other patrons. A grand time had by all!"
