  • Peaceful, gorgeous home with great location

"We recently visited Casa Miradores with another couple, and were very pleased with the location, setting and accommodations. The home is lovely and clean, and is in the best location, in my opinion, after seeing the whole island. It's just south of town where it is nice and peaceful, but still not too far away to drive in town with the golf cart. Beautiful view and pool, and overall just a great find! Mata Rocks staff was awesome and helpful when planning excursions. We did a fantastic catamaran tour with Searious Tours that included 2 snorkeling stops and a trip to Caulker Caye. I highly recommend doing that-it was amazing! The only improvement I would suggest would be to install some blinds for privacy in the Master bedroom. Other than that, it is fantastic!"

  • BEST Personal Residence for Rent in Ambergris Caye - Includes exclusive use of Captained Boat!!

"So many great things to say about this house. The day begins with Brian picking you up on the boat in town from the airport - you have no worries! He greets you with a cold drink for the boat ride! He arranges a golf cart - he carries your bags - his staff ready your rooms, wash your clothes , makes your meals-if you wish, cleans the kitchen and take care of everything. Your every need and wish is there for the asking. DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK!!! - that is the number one tip!!!! We traveled with our college age kids- there is plenty for everyone to do! My husband loves the fishing - Bryan is a pro - and knows all the best places - they came back daily with plenty! It was so good! We took our 80 year old dad this time - he was able to swim with sharks - swim in the secret beach - dive for lobster and then eat ceviche right on the boat with the speared lobster (made by Bryan) - dance with local ladies - bet on Chicken Bingo- fish - eat a pampusa in town made by a local - sing karaoke- all with Bryan assisting him - it truly was so helpful ! It was above and beyond what a boat captian/house manager needed to do. This was our 4th stay at the house - I literally can not tell you how amazing . So many things - Yuri is exceptional and once again we love her homemade food especially the potato salad. Lando the groundskeeper - cleaned our snorkel equipment daily - brought us beers and rum punch when we were relaxing on he dock - HE MADE SEVERAL TRIPS! Top Pros: We love not being right in town (we always get a cart) - we love the private boat - there is a small grocery store 20 feet from the property - with a small "hut" cafe that will also deliver freshmade food! We had them "Auroras" cook our fish one day- it was incredible - she roasted 3 whole fish for us- we caught them - Bryan cleaned them and delivered to her - She delivered them once cooked - We were eating them just 4 hours after my husband caught them. So fresh!! We will be back! So many great things to say about this house. The day begins with Brian picking you up on the boat in town from the airport - you have no worries! • Incredible place

"What an amazing time in an incredible place. From the very beginning well over a year ago, Dr. Mark provided an abundant amount of assistance for our group vacation. throughout that time, he directed us to excursions and answered all of the miscellaneous questions from our group. Two weeks out from our vacation My sister and her husband lost their business as well as the entire town for an undetermined amount of time. This was followed by their youngest being hospitalized for five nights due to an intense respiratory infection. Three days before our vacation departure a hurricane tore through Belize with Ambergris just on the north end. I cannot begin to explain the comfort level I was given due to the correspondence with Dr. Mark and his wife Joan during this time. From updates on island conditions to concern for my sister I felt like I was planning this trip with a favorite Uncle who had my needs as a top priority. When we headed off on our adventure to the Island. We were met by Phillip with Tropic Ferry at the airport. He took us to lunch and gave us a tour of the city and took us to the Ferry. The hurricane left an abundant amount of damage in its wake. Captain Alex and his mate cleared a path and got us to the boat and on our way. To the Dolphin we went. As we rounded the south end of Ambergris we could see that most of the docks and palapas over the water had been destroyed. The Blue Dolphin lost their palapa but with a minor twist the dock survived. Standing at the end were Gloria and Armand waving at our boat like we were old friends coming for a visit. Here at last, Vacation started. At our request Gloria prepared a delicious meal of enchiladas with all the sides. We love both houses and our host were exceptional. From assisting with the excursions to tending the house and grounds it doesn't get any better. My daughter even declared Gloria and Armand as another set of grandparents. The rest of our trip was spent exploring the island and going to many bars and restaurants. We enjoyed them all and will be back to visit them again as well as find others. I know this is a long review and I could write more, but I cannot emphasize enough what troubles were taken to ensure our trip. And reading the log from the prior trip who weathered the storm brought goosebumps but showed that the Blue Dolphin is a special place in the most capable hands."

  • Great trip, perfect location.

"Phil and Marie were more than accommodating. The location is perfect with a bar for a cold one next door and a grocery store for food behind. The location was peaceful, relaxing and we loved it."
