  • Location, Comfort, Amenities, Price

"Family of 6 adults just returned from a lovely 1 week stay. Have been to Ambergris before and might have returned to former resort but this time needed a 3 bedroom, and wanted to be within walking distance to San Pedro. The Landings provided this and more. Location: close to town, grocery store, beach bar/restaurants. Comfort: Good floor plan, nice beds, plenty of towels, Jacuzzi tub, washer/dryer. TV with a gazillion channels. My only negative is the only patio with furniture is off the master bathroom. Amenities: well equipped kitchen, arrival/departure pick-ups, 3 pools, sandy ocean area off pier to swim (we played Frisbee), cell phone I can not say enough for managers Kimberley and Chad. Friendly, helpful and professional. We had no problems but they were on site every day overseeing properties."

  • Will come back in a heartbeat

"We, 2 adults an 2 teenage kids, stayed for 8 days, a week after the hurricane, and the property was pristine thanks to Antonio. White fine sand. Beautiful house. Open living spaces. Air conditioning was very nice for us northerners. We used it less and less during our stay. Pool is a real plus which is refreshingly cooler than the ocean. Location is excellent being far enough from San Pedro away from development, but just close enough for the golf cart. I'd recommend a 6 person cart if your group is more than 2 since getting supplies from town can use the extra room. Plus passengers can sit facing forward. The reef is a 15 minute paddle with the 2 kayaks at the house. There are no anchors at the reef so bring a long rope for snorkeling to tie to you. No snorkel gear at the house so it's worth bringing your own. House has a bbq too. A fellow named Clinton took us on a local fishing/lobster trip in front of the house and to Mexico rocks preserve just up the coast. He cooked with the house bbq and served us too for a major highlight of our trip. Portofino resort restaurant is a 5 minute walk to the north and is very enjoyable. In other words, the house was in the perfect location for us. None of the resorts nearby are more than 2 floors that I could see. Improvements? Well there is a small stretch of road that is unimproved, but that is in dispute and will probably get improved soon. The kitchen could be more appointed if you are really serious about cooking. Steve Childress was indispensable for us first timers setting up our travel connections and activities. You wanna be him. We were late arriving into Belize city and missed the last ferry. Steve got us set up with Mayan air who would normally be closed. He met us at the airport w our cart and guided us at night to the house with a pitstop at the market. Take his locals advice since there are so many choices for a tourist. And Antonio is a wealth of Belizean perspective."

  • Paradise!

"We just go back from a week stay at Casa B'Alam and it was simply amazing. The pictures shown are exactly what you get - paradise! We started off our vacation with massages from Wendy - best massage ever - and that set the tone for the rest of the week. Definitely recommend renting the golf carts for the week. Some places are close to walk to along the beach or the main road but would not want to do the walk after dark. Restaurants were good nearby (Jamaya, Rojo (closed Sundays and Mondays), and Rendevous were great) and was definitely worth going into town to Blue Water Grill - did both the regular menu (Snook was amazing) and Sushi night. Amazing snorkeling. Came close enough to kiss the Sea Turtle at the Mexican Rocks. Roberto from Portofino was an excellent guide. Hol Chan was also amazing. Only thing we'd do different is take a plane from Belize City to San Pedro. Boat ride was not fun. On the way in, we were packed like sardines all hot and sweaty and on the way out, it was raining, most windows were closed, and even though we were not packed in like sardines the carbon monoxide filled the inside of the boat and made a couple people sick. Can't wait to go back to the island and we would definitely stay at Casa B'Alam again."

  • So thankful for everything

"Staying at the Blue Dolphin made our trip to Belize so care free. Dr. Mark helped organize everything including our golf cart rentals and excursions. When he said he gets great deals he isn't lying. The excursions he helps sets up are about half the cost of the others. They all have friendly staff and pick you up right at the dock. When I had an issue with the price of the golf carts, Dr. Mark also helped me figure it out! The house itself is beautiful and incredibly spacious! Gloria and her husband come daily to clean and are just amazing people! They are so friendly and knowledgeable about the island. I would also recommend her cooking at least one meal during your stay. It is delicious! My only recommendation is try avoid travelling during the summer months. Electic is very expensive on the island so out of respect we tried to keep the AC off during the day which meant it got really hot!"
