"We spent two weeks in Hopkins, and got to know the village very well. Blue moon Cabana's location is extremely convenient, being right in the heart of the community. It's exactly as the pictures depict, and one is not disappointed as you enter and see the view and feel the breeze through the many windows. The Cabana has everything you'll need, the appliances are new and work perfectly. Sometimes it's the little things that count, and one of our pet peeves around the Caribbean is water pressure. I'm extremely happy to say that the pressure at the Cabana is excellent, and you'll never run out of hot water in the shower. The bathroom is new, clean and modern. There's no AC in the Cabana, but trust me when I say you'll never need it. There's 5 large ceiling fans to move air, and the breeze coming in through the large windows keeps the Cabana cool and fresh. You're literally 21 steps from the Cabana to the water, (yes we counted) and at night all you'll hear is the ocean. Other reviewers complained about noise from the village, we heard nothing to complain about during our stay. We enjoyed the Cabana immensely, especially morning coffees on the deck, watching the sun rise off the water every day. The beach is very private, and even though you're in the middle of the village you rarely see anybody passing by as you sit and enjoy the view. By far, the best place for breakfast and/or coffee in Hopkins is Thongs Café, which is less than a 5 minute walk from Blue moon. Directly beside the Cabana, is the Belfuna cultural kitchen. Fresh bread, baked daily, cinnamon buns, and other bakery items are available everyday. you place your order, and for next to nothing you get delicious freshly baked goods literally at your doorstep. Next to this, is a park where they hold the annual kite festival. a short walk across this park, and you'll find the best burgers in Hopkins, at Windschief Beachbar. It's right on the beach, and also less than a 5 minute walk from the Cabana door. I could go on for hours, describing how great the Cabana, and Hopkins, is to stay at and visit. Mirko the manager, is extremely helpful and wants your stay to be perfect. He'll arrange any trip or excursion you want, and I highly recommend going through him for trips out to the reef. The boat will pick you up, and drop you off right on the beach in front of the Cabana. Trust me.. We got to know Hopkins extremely well, and when we return, the Cabana is where we'll be."

  • “Amazing value for high quality location/experience”

"I stayed here 14 nights as part of a 32 night stay at the Latitude 17 property's. Its better than described and the pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful hardwood furniture, floors, ceilings. High quality brand name fixtures/appliances/mattress, plus two bikes!. With a Grocery left and market to the right, we used the full kitchen for most meals and splurged at one of the many local restaurants every third night for fun. We spent many hours on the front deck enjoying the sun and town. Miles long, unbroken beach was super swimming friendly and only seconds away. Long gradual totally sandy deepening and no rips or currents make it very family friendly and we were found there daily. On the few days the winds were up we fell asleep and woke to the sound of the surf. Managers Annette and Mirko (Belize licenced travel and excursion agent) were amazing, being always available to provide advice and answers to our questions.(Even a loaner phone is provided - Wow) The Cabanas and property were super clean and well kept. Many well researched and professionally run excursions were available via Mirko, taking the guess work out of booking a day trip. (He also greatly assisted our travel to and from Hopkins/Lat 17 from Belize City airport) My wife and I were planning our return on the plane going home - what better praise can I say that that."

  • Clean comfortable, central

"The apartment was well equipped, comfortable , and close to the water. We had beautiful breeze, but did have a little seaweed accumulation. The men rake the beaches every day so it was not a problem. Snorkeling was great, zip line and the falls are close."

  • Charming and peaceful

"Coconut Row rooms are nice but don't come expecting a five star hotel. The rooms are clean and ours had a full kitchen which was great! The beach at coconut row is awesome, and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Playing Banana Grams with the front desk gals, Kyra and Tyesha, in the afternoons was a fun bonus!!"
