  • Great Place!! Excellent staff!!

"We had the opportunity to stay here twice. It was very pleasant and comfortable for our party of four. The rooms were very clean and clearly well taken care of. The beach was impeccably clean and even raked daily. I was impressed with temperature of the warm and clear. We were given complementary coconut rum drinks, which were tasty. The staff was attentive and arranged all our activities. Kyra arranged a awesome day snorkeling with Ash, Bo and Juice. What a once in a lifetime experience! That day we made lifelong friends. The village was the best part of Hopkins. Nicest people ever!! We were very safe and felt as if we were part of the culture and village with the warm and welcoming Garifuna people. They have more love and kindness then anywhere I have ever been. Happiest people in the world. We became totally immersed in the village from super great food, drumming and cute beach bars with music. If your coming to Belize- come to Hopkins and stay at Coconut row. You wont be disappointed."

  • Perfect

"We arrived 2 days late after surviving Hurricane Earl inland near Belmopan! We arrived to what was our relaxation portion of our trip. We were in Belize a total of two weeks, and could not have chosen a better place to stay. The grounds had been cleaned up, the house was spotless, and we could not have been more pleased. You can walk out in the ocean for quite a bit and still stand up. Waters were a little murky after the hurricane when we arrived but soon cleared up to a crystal clear blue view! The house itself is in perfect condition, with anything and more than what one needs for a beach vacation. Communication with Janette and Maria were great. If we needed anything, they were easy to contact and arrange anything for us. We enjoyed the solitude of the beach the most and put the chairs and hammock to good use. Security patrolling at night was a bonus, although we felt safe at any given time. EVERYONE in Belize was nice and friendly. This was my first trip to a beach in 3 years and could not have chosen a better place. Thanks again to everyone!!!"

  • Beautiful Place and Secluded Getaway - Look No Further!

"Ocean's Edge had a magical pull for both my boyfriend and I. We were looking for a private getaway, without being in a hotel chain, where we were able to call our retreat our "home away from home" and it was just that. When we arrived, we were the only guests and had the private beach to ourselves for a few days prior to our neighbor checking into their house (two houses share the beach) and surprise, it was Virginia - a guest who has stayed at these houses a few times and we couldn't have lucked out with a better neighbor! Although we had a neighbor, we still felt like it was our very own private special place and it was great to also have the resources of someone who had been here before and knew the lay of the land! Every morning, my boyfriend and I found ourselves waking up right before sunrise to witness some of the most beautiful sunrises from the cozy chairs or hammocks under the pilapa, before finding ourselves slowly getting ready to do anything or nothing at all. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and we enjoyed the fresh coconuts, figuring out how to husk them and then cook with them as well. We did utilize the bicycles as well as the kayaks during our stay and would advise guests to do so as well. If you are staying here, and are looking to go into town (Placencia) at all, either rent a car or just learn the bus schedule. The bus schedule is super easy to learn and is super cheap ($2 one way into Placencia, the stop is across the street from the houses) but please bear in mind that the last trip going back to Maya Beach leaves Placencia at 2:30pm. Ocean's Edge Beach Houses is literally one dock away from the best restaurant, Maya Beach Bistro, that we ate at and we felt like we lived there for happy hour daily and fell in love with their staff who welcomed us like we were locals. Staying at Ocean's Edge has spoiled me and it is hard to find future accommodations in other countries as my expectations are now really high. Thank you for being great to work with throughout my planning process, Frankie, as she was patient with me while planning this trip as I had plenty of questions from the get go! We can't wait for our return back to Belize and Ocean's Edge! I am still dreaming of Belize..."
