  • Great location, wonderful trip

"We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Angel's Landing. The location was great for us. It's on the north end of the Placencia peninsula, which made it easier for us to get to some of the in-land destinations such as Mayan ruins, Bocawina (for zip lining) and Cave's Branch (for cave tubing). Placencia town was a 25 minute drive away, but Maya Beach was only 10 minutes. Maya had everything we could need, grocery store, great restaurants, etc. When not going on adventures in-land, we enjoyed the pool, the 2 kayaks, and of course the ocean. Luz and her husband stopped by multiple times during our stay to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. We would love to come back!"

  • Father Daughters vacation

"Great place. Any issues were quickly resolved. Enjoyed the walk to town. Snorkeling with turtles, nurse sharks and rays by silk cayes. Finished with xip line. Recommend fishing boats 32ft and up to avoid rough ride in choppy waters. Dint forget to ask guide to bring live bait. Thanjs Sharene"

  • Only because a six-star rating is not an option

"We had a fantastic trip to Belize, and our stay at Villa Ranguana made it so. We had eight people total (4 adults, 4 tweens) and had plenty of space in the house. We loved having the beach toys to play with - paddling and snorkeling options. We agree with the other reviews, regarding the wonderful presence of Albert and Francesca, and their friendly dogs. We hired a cook for one meal, based on their recommendation, and she was fantastic. We spent a week there, but could have easily spent two. One full day of doing absolutely nothing. A day trip to Ranguana Caye. A shopping/strolling trip to town. Two adventures: ziplining and cave tubing. A day of chartered fishing. The open floor plan of the house allows for lots of visiting and hanging out during meals. The balcony provides additional seating/hammock space. The four poster bed in the master bedrooms is awesome. There are three different shower heads in the master bath. Choose your favorite! Nice collection of DVD movies and paperback books, if you are so inclined. Towels and linens are quite nice. If you are at all considering this property, please book it. You will not be disappointed."

  • Paradise found and then some!

"Gail and Paul have certainly created a paradise in Placencia. We traveled with another couple and had a wonderful time exploring the village, cooking delicious meals in the villa’s well-stocked and modern kitchen, and relaxing by the pool and palapa’s (yes, there’s more than one!). After spending the first part of our trip sailing around the Caye’s, the villa was a great place to unwind in comfort. Gail and Paul are incredibly helpful and kind – you couldn’t find friendlier people in Belize. Paul gave us the lay of the land – the good markets, restaurants, and shops to stop-in. And Gail arranged everything from dinner reservations to a car rental for us. We feel lucky to have experienced Starfish Villa and can’t wait to come back and visit again!"
