  • Amazing Condo, Authentic Cultural Experience and Access to Water

"There were two couples in our group and right from the start, we were impressed with the location of the resort, the beautiful interior and exterior of the three buildings, the pool and the pier. We did not know what to expect since this was a new rental and there were no reviews to read yet. We LOVED the place. We were treated well by Herbert, who coordinated the rental for us. Placencia is the town about 20 minutes away and we highly recommend booking a few excursions from there. But the best restaurants are in Maya Beach which is about 10 minutes away, north of the resort. We lucked out and received a detailed list of best restaurants and sites to see from our neighbors in the condo building. In Placencia, be sure to eat at Omar's where the fish is FRESH and it is BYOB. We also highly recommend the Maya Beach Bistro!! The only sad aspect is the poverty of many of the people - there is no real middle class in Belize. But the people are very kind and friendly. Other must's include snorkeling at one of the Cayes and tubing down the river at the Jaguar sanctuary (which can be done on your own if you have rented a car). The area is very casual (no one wears high heals or dresses up) so be sure to bring the right clothing, including an umbrella for the short rain showers. Don't expect to shop much, at least in that area, but if you do go shopping, you will find beautiful bead jewelry and hardwood bowls."

  • Amazing 40th Birthday Trip

"For a few years, my childhood friends and I were planning on a big trip for our 40th birthdays...we decided on Belize for the beaches, snorkeling, location, and many attractions that we read about. I found the Beach Front Villa (Maya Beach) on VRBO and was totally amazed when I looked at all of the pictures and read the reviews. We booked it through Aaron Krohn - who was incredibly patient with all of my questions ahead of time! - and we were definitely not disappointed when we actually was better than we had hoped for! The Villa was clean, well stocked, and absolutely gorgeous. We loved that a group of 7 women could comfortably stay in one house together, and the beach / pool area was perfect for lounging. The outdoor showers were amazing, too! We had a wonderful stay, and I would 100% recommend this property at Cocoplum resort to anyone visiting Belize. Aaron was so helpful with all of the arrangements, both before the trip and during (even though he had unfortunately suffered a broken leg about a month before we arrived, and couldn't move around much). Aaron assisted with shuttles, coordinating our first night's dinner - Miss Radiance's food was delicious!, a very easy method of payment, any amenities that we might need during the stay, suggestions for local travel/restaurants, car rental, info about Belize, and so much more. Thanks to Aaron and the staff at Cocoplum, our 40th Bday trip to Belize was one that we will never forget!!"

  • Stay here if you can

"This was by far the best place I have stayed in for a long time. You are far enough away from anything that when it gets dark and the traffic quiets down it's as peaceful a place as you will find."

  • Relaxing

"Revas pearls was everything we expected and more. The belizean hardwood is beautiful and the Windows all around are private but still give the feel of openness. Everything you need is right with all the tools to cook a good meal. An awesome blender for your fav frozen drinks and a view of sunsets to look forward to. The beds were comfy and clean. We had fun feeding the iguanas our leftovers. The birds!! Oh the birds were so much fun to watch and identify!! The eateries near by ...mangos and the bistro ... are pretty much all you need to find food. One more is singing sands for good food and an absolutely beautiful view/and stunning gardens. We did not have a car and we got around just fine with the bikes. Thank you Julie and Doug. See you next year!!"
