  • Outstanding! Terrific for family vacations!

"Jamming Gecko was a vacation that all 11 of us will never forget! Mable, our concierge could not have been any more helpful; Domingo and George served delicious meals paying special attention to everyone's needs and desires from 6am til 8pm if requested. They were "our favorite restaurant". The pool, beach, and pier were beautifully maintained. Golf cart trips to the grocery store were fun. We would rent a van next time to accommodate all of us, albeit scheduled activities did provide transportation, but at a cost of $15 - 20pp round trip. This 5 bedroom, 7 bath home, and services provided by staff was way beyond our expectations!!"

  • Beautiful Belize Getaway!

"This beachside home is steps away from the ocean with a view that daily is astoundingly beautiful. We had no idea what the area was like when we reserved this lovely vacation home, boy, did we ever score a 10!!! The location is great; far enough away to be quiet, yet restaurants are walkable and nearby and the wonderful Placencia Village is a short 15-20 minute drive south. We rented a car and would recommend that in order to experience all the peninsula has to offer. There were two couples in our party so we didn't even use the third bedroom, it was smallish and not exactly private, so it worked out well. The fully equipped kitchen would be fine for cooking and eating....however, with all the awesome restaurant options, all so reasonably priced, we ate out every meal!!!! It was vacation, after all! Do not miss the Maya Beach Bistro, super close and perfect for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. The private beach was well kept, raked regularly and lounge chairs at the house are perfect for spending time in the sun. The owner is very helpful in preparing for a trip to Belize, answered questions quickly, had great suggestions and was interested in feedback after we returned back to the USA. Belize is a great vacation destination, specifically the Placencia Peninsula, so thankful we were able to experience it!"

  • A great place to relax

"My husband and I love to rent a place instead of stay in hotels. We booked this property after lots of research into the Country of Belize, as well as different locals and properties. The Casa Laguna home is situated on the beach facing the lagoon. The home is well equipped with anything you need to cook modest meal, the beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious. Our only problem was the wi-fi wasn't working and it took 3 days to figure out the problem and get someone in to fix it. (We purposely didn't use a Belize cell phone thinking we would be able to stay in contact using wi-fi calling or messaging.) This home is about 2 miles from the town of Maya Beach which has one of the best restaurants we've ever eaten at. It is an easy 10 miles into Placencia Village to get a dose of beach combing and beach bar/music. David was very helpful in explaining the driving conditions, driving directions, recommendations for restaraunts, when to gas up the vehicle, and sights to see along the road to Casa Laguna. He went the extra mile to help us make our trip worthwhile. Staying at a house versus the many resorts is not for everyone. If you don't mind planning and driving to your sightseeing excursion, and enjoy having the option to cook your own food once in awhile, then this is the place for you. We would recommend this house to anyone wishing to explore the southern part of Belize."

  • Belize Hide-a-way

"We had a terrific time over the Christmas and New Year's holiday in 2016/2017 staying at the Tipsy Gecko. With five rooms, there was plenty of space for us to enjoy this lovely home. It is secluded, but close to restaurants and beach clubs. The private pool was lovely and the doc so close. We didn't swim off the doc, but saw beautiful fish. The doc was a great place to sit in a hammock and catch up on a good book. We had the Chef, Domingo prepare meals for three days. Just lovely. Mabel took very good care of us."
