  • Fantastic Place, Views and Hosts!

"Our stay at Villa Cayo was a fabulous experience. The unit is the best equipped place we've stayed in the 15 years plus we've used VRBO. The kitchen had everything you could want for your stay. All appliances were first rate. The shower, bathroom and hot water system are well designed. The best thing was the king size bed was very comfortable, which is a big deal for us. Ken and Virginia could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. The Crave restaurant which was their number one recommendation for dinner was a great dinning experience. The fact that it is a studio Villa does not do the place justice, it's more Villa than studio. Overall this was a great stay and experience, I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed Villa Cayo. We will return."

  • Perfect little house on a hill

"We stayed a week at the Belize Gem and it was fantastic! Unfortunately the wifi was out while we were there but other than sharing our great experiences we didn't really need it anyway. Although the road to get there was definitely intense (rent a 4WD vehicle if you are renting a car!) the views and seclusion were great. We went cave tubing and zip lining, and explored the extremely close ruins of Xunantunich and Cahal Pech and enjoyed every minute. Another great thing to do is visit the Green Iguana Project at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel just down the road- you get to hold and feed tons of iguanas. Very cool! Finally, don't miss the farmers market in town which we heard called the Best in the Country by several locals! It is open everyday but the big day is Saturday-make sure to allow plenty of time to see everything! Overall, the casita was perfect and met our needs exactly as expected. Rose, Nancy, and their property manager Marilyn were very helpful and responsive whenever we had questions. It was fun being so close to town yet very secluded up on the hill. Thanks for a fantastic week!"

  • We had a great time.

"Thank you so much for letting us stay at your property. The staff and accommodations were great. My wife loved being able to pick fruit directly from the trees on the property. And we enjoyed being able to watch the iguanas and howler monkeys right outside the door of our Casita."
