  • Quiet and Cozy

"Amazing experience! Dalton and Andrea were both extremely helpful. We traded emails with Dalton who arranged our bookings and connected us with his sister-in-law, Andrea who was an incredible host, always accessible when we needed her, and helpful prior to and throughout our stay, for our arrival she even picked us up from and drove us to the airport when departing for a small fee, hey it beats calling a taxi. She also immediately took us to a Moped shop so that my wife and I could arrange rentals. The apartment although laid out in a studio manner, was very spacious and very clean, with enough closet space to accommodate our overzealous packing. The bed was very comfortable for our tired bodies after much exploring each day; two full beds paired together to form a king. The kitchen was well kitted-out, which was awesome since we planned on cooking our own meals every evening (we even steamed some fish that we caught ourselves). Andrea gave us directions to Clearwater beach and other breathtaking spots and beaches nearby. If you rent a scooter, you can safely park it in front of the house without issues, which you will definitely need since the location is a little remote, and a good ride on the scooter from Hamilton or St.Georges ( the latter is closer). Andrea and her husband even provided us with rain jackets for riding our scooter in the rain, apparently, we came during a random rain spell which lasted on and off for the duration of our stay. Overall it was a quiet and relaxing. What a nice escape! Everyone in Bermuda was so pleasant and helpful. You will have a wonderful time!!! We will definitely be returning!"

  • Fantastic home - stunning views

"Family group of kids and adults stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The home is immaculate and very well equipped. Having a full kitchen is a must as food costs are high on the island and here we had a grocery store a five minute walk down the road. John Smiths bay and beach are less than 10 minutes walk the opposite way and that is like having a private beach - pink sand, good snorkeling and very few people. The house was very comfortable, lots of space and stays cool without the need to run the A/C very much at all. The views from the front are fantastic and the pictures here don't do that justice - would love to go back and enjoy breakfast overlooking the ocean again soon! Thanks to the property manager too who was a great help and provides lots of useful advice if you need it."

  • Lovely place to take a break!

"Aunt Nea's Inn is as beautiful a place as was advertised. The continental breakfast and kitchen facilities were just what was needed. The staff were always responsive and helpful. However, there are a few things that will take this place to exceptional: 1. The owner was quite responsive through the HomeAway website. However, I attempted to call Aunt Nea's Inn using the numbers posted on the website in order to book before realizing that I could book through the HomeAway website, but have yet to receive a response. I had the same issue using the email address on the website. Maybe the website should simply be connected to the HomeAway website? 2. The ladies working the front desk are too stretched to be also doing the housekeeping. My trash was cleared away, but the bed was not made and the bathroom mats and towels were not changed. My partner and I returned back to the room early one day, which I accept hindered the process, but I didn't get a fresh towel or have a dry floor mat for the entire 3 nights. 3. The ventilation in the bathroom needs some work. The floor mat struggled to dry. 4. The floor in the Sand Dollar room is not level. There is a hump in the floor parallel to the entrance of the room. I understand that this was probably an old Bermuda home, however, if you are unsteady on your feet, it could be a problem room for you. 5. One of the keys took some fiddling with to work in the door. However, I love the charm of the place and would go back again."

  • Whispering Waves:great location and owner!

"My husband and I played in the Bermuda Bridge Regional held at the Southampton Fairmont Hotel. The cost of the hotel was prohibitive, so we looked for alternative housing. We were so fortunate to find Whispering Waves. Wendell Simmons, the owner, met us at the airport and as we rode to the property told us all about Bermuda. The next day, he took us on a mini tour of the area, showed us how to get bus tickets and made sure that we were settled and comfortable. The bus stop is just outside the gate, and the location of the property is halfway between Hamilton and Dockyard where the America's Cup races will soon be held. Very convenient to get a bus and sightsee. The studio apartment is quite small, but is well provisioned with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There are plenty of thick towels, a tv and wifi, and use of a washer, . The only thing missing was a comfy chair. Unfortunately, the weather was cool and rainy, but Wendell graciously gave us a ride to the hotel during the poor weather. When I stumbled and broke two small bones in my foot, he loaned me a cane and carried us to the hotel every day. All in all, we loved staying at Whispering Waves, and made a new friend for life!!"
