  • Wonderful stay, relaxing setting, superb hosts

"Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, excellent position for supermarket, bus service, beaches, walking along the Railway Trail. Very quiet at night, lovely patio on which to enjoy the afternoon sun."

  • Nice Studio, Good To Have Kitchen, 20 Minute Walk To Beach

"My wife and I stayed at Juanita's house in Dec2016. We liked the cozy studio with the sitting areas and kitchen. The kitchen meant that we could have relaxed breakfasts as well as evening wine and cheese in the room. We were there to play golf and the location is between Mid-Ocean and Port Royal, with the closest course being the beautiful Turtle Hill par 3 course. It was great to have the supermarket just .25 miles away, so we always had food available in the apartment. All but one restaurant is a taxi ride away for dinner (I wouldn't want to walk back from any others in the dark). Horseshoe Beach was about a 20 minute walk, which also brought you close to the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse and the Fairmont Southampton Hotel. The price was right, the location was good, and the apartment was CLEAN. What more could you want?"

  • Whispering Waves:great location and owner!

"My husband and I played in the Bermuda Bridge Regional held at the Southampton Fairmont Hotel. The cost of the hotel was prohibitive, so we looked for alternative housing. We were so fortunate to find Whispering Waves. Wendell Simmons, the owner, met us at the airport and as we rode to the property told us all about Bermuda. The next day, he took us on a mini tour of the area, showed us how to get bus tickets and made sure that we were settled and comfortable. The bus stop is just outside the gate, and the location of the property is halfway between Hamilton and Dockyard where the America's Cup races will soon be held. Very convenient to get a bus and sightsee. The studio apartment is quite small, but is well provisioned with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There are plenty of thick towels, a tv and wifi, and use of a washer, . The only thing missing was a comfy chair. Unfortunately, the weather was cool and rainy, but Wendell graciously gave us a ride to the hotel during the poor weather. When I stumbled and broke two small bones in my foot, he loaned me a cane and carried us to the hotel every day. All in all, we loved staying at Whispering Waves, and made a new friend for life!!"

  • Awesome Stay!

"Can't say enough good things about our stay with Patty and Junior! The apartment was spotless and welcoming when we arrived on a night when most planes had refused to fly or were unable to land. Realizing how late we would be, Patty stocked the kitchen with a few essentials to get us through the first night - even fresh flowers on the counter. Beds were comfortable, kids were thrilled to have cable tv in the evenings (a luxury we don't subscribe to at home), the dogs were a highlight for sure. Accessibility to the beach and bus stops couldn't have been better and even the trip to the grocery store could be made along the Railway Trail in about 20 minutes - my husband and son regularly made the trek for forgotten items or to satisfy someone's craving for a treat. Best thing is to incorporate grocery shopping into trips into town - we stopped at the market in Hamilton which is conveniently located close to the bus terminal and just picked up what we needed on our way. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us - we hope you'll have us back again soon!"
