  • A wonderful stay in St George's

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lily and Bernard's. They are the sweetest couple. Bernard gave us a tour of the area soon after our arrival to help us get acclimated. Being locals, they seemed to know everyone and everyone seemed to know them. They were able to share a lot of information with us that enhanced our stay. The apartment was just right for my husband and me. It was clean and had everything we needed. It was in walking distance to the historic town of St George's for sightseeing, grocery shopping or getting the bus to see the rest of the island. I had my cell phone turned off since I did not have reception in Bermuda and did not realize until our second morning there that it was missing. Guessed I had left it in the taxi. Lily and Bernard shared my concern. Bernard even brought us banana pancakes as Lily was helping me call taxi services. I had failed to get the taxi number. No luck, so we went out sightseeing for the day. When we got back to the house that evening they were so excited to share the news with me that the taxi driver had found the phone and even drove a good distance to bring it to the house. This is just one example of how kind and respectful Bermudian people as a whole are. If you want a feel for the local life and what living in Bermuda is like, this is the place to stay. It was perfect for us!"

  • Amazing stay at Quarterdeck Cabin

"We stayed at Quarterdeck Cabin for four days in November 2016. Both the inside and the outside of the condo met or exceeded our expectations. The Cabin is cozy, comfortably furnished, and was very clean. The kitchenette is very well equipped, and the place is loaded with brochures and information on Bermuda. The view is divine, and the deck is absolutely beautiful, as pictured. Even in mid-November, with temps at mid-70, we were able to spend a day at the beach (Horseshoe Beach) swimming in the warm water. The pool at Quarterdeck is gorgeous and looked very inviting, but despite being heated was cold. The heater is solar-powered and we did not have enough hours of sunshine or something to get it to heat the pool to a comfortable temperature. At other times in the year it must be lovely. Bermudians are hands-down the warmest, friendliest people we have ever met, there is always a hello and how can we help you. We will certainly try to be back!"

  • Lovely place to take a break!

"Aunt Nea's Inn is as beautiful a place as was advertised. The continental breakfast and kitchen facilities were just what was needed. The staff were always responsive and helpful. However, there are a few things that will take this place to exceptional: 1. The owner was quite responsive through the HomeAway website. However, I attempted to call Aunt Nea's Inn using the numbers posted on the website in order to book before realizing that I could book through the HomeAway website, but have yet to receive a response. I had the same issue using the email address on the website. Maybe the website should simply be connected to the HomeAway website? 2. The ladies working the front desk are too stretched to be also doing the housekeeping. My trash was cleared away, but the bed was not made and the bathroom mats and towels were not changed. My partner and I returned back to the room early one day, which I accept hindered the process, but I didn't get a fresh towel or have a dry floor mat for the entire 3 nights. 3. The ventilation in the bathroom needs some work. The floor mat struggled to dry. 4. The floor in the Sand Dollar room is not level. There is a hump in the floor parallel to the entrance of the room. I understand that this was probably an old Bermuda home, however, if you are unsteady on your feet, it could be a problem room for you. 5. One of the keys took some fiddling with to work in the door. However, I love the charm of the place and would go back again."

  • Great location!

"We loved how close we were to everything, the beach, the grocery store, the bus stops and all that St. George's had to offer. The apartment was just the right size for two ladies. The grounds were well kept and had places for us to sit and have our meals outside. We are planning to return."
