  • Perfect home, perfect location!

"We recently traveled to Elbow Cay and had the pleasure of finding the Dreamsicle. Jamie (the caretaker) was right on time to help us settle in. The house was in a perfect location, on the quieter side of the island, and very close to the most beautiful beach (Tahiti beach). I think you definitely need a golf cart due to it's distance from downtown. The house had everything needed for a comfortable stay, from beach towels to kitchen utensils. Wifi was reliable. The power did go out a few times one night, but it was out on the whole island and the Dreamsicle usually has a generator for backup (it was being fixed while we were there). Everything was super clean and tidy. We really felt like we were in our own home and can't wait to make a trip back! Cindi was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend a stay at the Dreamsicle!!"

  • Amazing views and convenience

"We stayed at the treehouse from april 22nd - April 28th 2016. It was amazing in all aspects. The house has BREATHTAKING views and is close to everything due to its central location. The nights were perfect in the bedroom off the main deck. Gentle winds all night kept us comfortable and we have never slept better. The owners were more than accommodating and provided almost everything we needed to have a care free vacation. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a St. John rental. Thanks so much for helping us have the best vacation ever!!!"

  • Great View!!

"We were met at the police department (it seems everybody gets arrested on arrival there) by Stewart Smalley, and followed him at night on a winding trail that was quite fun to drive, and found food and drink waiting for us in the refrigerator, and spirits offered, too. Then, after getting up in the morning went exploring the property and it is as pictured with a tremendous view Grand Anse Bay, and the deck is perfectly placed for great sunsets. Ellen did make us her Shrimp Piri Piri, one of her African dishes with just the right spices to leave lips and mouth warm. And Stewart, the sommelier and bartender, foisted large amounts of wine on us and regaled us with all kinds of fish stories; and both had suggestions on what to do while on the island...they actually suggested we leave it...and go to another one, Carriacou, by ferry the next day. Driving on the island is better than even in the Dominican Republic, the roads are even more narrow and very twisty/turny; I, as driver, had a hoot, my girlfriend/wife/passenger, not so much. And for us from the USA, driving from the wrong side of the car on the wrong side of the road...proving that two wrongs do, indeed, make a right. When going into St. Georges and wandering around and looking lost, we asked a guy, Herman it turned out, how to get to the fort and the market and it turned out he guided us all over the place, even out into the boonies to the rainforest and a lake and waterfalls up there and tried to find friendly monkeys to play with...the monkeys were having none of it, so we did not pay for that little park tour...but it was a really great drive (for me, not my girlfriend/wife/passenger), and we would never have found anything without Herman. Car rental...we rented form Archie because he responded better to concerns about insurance, would meet us at the airport, etc. Knowing what I do now, I would just have Stewart pick us up since he has to meet us to lead us in anyway, and rent from their neighbor Lorrie. As far as the police station episode, before Archie would let us have a car, they took us in that car to the police station to get a Grenada driving permit, and that is why Stewart met us at the police station to lead us home. Archie's car had a flat spare, the inside of the windshield had NEVER been washed and caused quite a glare, but Ellen had glass cleaner and paper towels, so I washed the windshield three times and it was OK. I would go again to "Inside Out" without hesitancy."
