  • Fabulous House

"This is our 2nd stay in this house, the 1st time we were two couples, this time just my husband and I. The house is perfect for 1 to 2 couples with 2 en-suite bedrooms, has a nice living-room, breakfast bar, full kitchen and outdoor eating area. We've been to Bonaire approximately 15 times, and this is by far the best house we've stayed in. Here are some of the highlights: Quiet neighborhood Local house manager Gated yard with plenty of room to park Rinse tank/outdoor shower AC is also equipped with a de-humidifier, not just AC (big deal if you're from the SW of the US) Master bedroom has door to the outside, big plus since the houses are tiled in Bonaire and the floors are slippery when you're wet. FULL kitchen, with oven too and so much more.... and all about 2 blocks from the ocean... and awesome Belnem area diving."

  • Aanrader

  • Nice house in a good location. Few nitpicks

"Overall our stay at Villa Carina was great. The house was very clean when we arrived and they had a nice little welcome package for us. Unfortunately the dishwasher was broken so we had to clean dishes by hand, which was not a huge pain, but still an inconvenience given there was little to no water pressure from the kitchen sink. We were only able to use the pool once because the pool cleaner came the day we arrived, and the pool quickly filled up with dead wasps, mosquitos and other debris, and there was no skimmer for us to clean it ourselves. Also, the main "living area" (kitchen, master bedroom) is upstairs, and the stairs are very narrow, and get extremely slippery when wet, so if you or someone in your party has trouble with stairs you might want to reconsider. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning in the bedroom worked great. Bachelor's beach is nearby and a fantastic place to go swim. Martin was very accomodating and met us at the airport to help us with our car rental and getting to the house. He also opened up the laundry area for us which made our trip much easier."

  • A comfortable studio with hammocks, birds, and a jaccuzi

"Our hosts and their daughter were very friendly and cheerful. The kitchen facilities were small - a two-burner stove and a half-sized refrigerator - but that was OK because we wanted to visit restaurants to taste the food of the island for our main meal. There was a jaccuzi in the yard and a flower garden that attracted lots of birds. We would sit outside at breakfast and watch Bananaquits, Blue-tailed Emerald Hummingbirds, Venezuelan Troupials, and Ruby-topaz Hummingbirds fly in to feed. Occasionally White-tipped Doves, Brown-throated Parakeets, and others would drop by. The location was quiet and easy to reach. We never used the air conditioning because the fan and the high ceilings kept the room comfortable. WiFi allowed us to check schedules and search for things to do on the island. We were able to rinse off and hang up our snorkeling gear in preparation for our next outing."
