  • Excellent

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, family of 5 with 3 adult children. Karin was a wonderful property manager, she bought us groceries to get started since we were coming in late on Christmas Eve. The house is beautiful with a view to die for! We had an issue with the airbed that was resolved right away, and the replacement was very comfortable. Close to pretty much everything we were doing. What a great vacation!"

  • Beautiful Property – Perfect for 2 Couples!

"We just got back from our 4th trip to Bonaire and this was the best place we've stayed at so far! We’ll definitely be back (assuming this property is available when we are). The property “Kas Popchi” is beautiful and the location is great. The house has two separate buildings with lush gardens between each building and a lovely infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The north building has the kitchen and living room, with an outdoor dining table, a large guest bedroom and bathroom, plus an extra powder room. The south building has the owner’s bedroom and another large guest bedroom used by our friends, plus two bathrooms and a laundry room, and an outdoor sitting area with a very relaxing hammock overlooking the ocean. Both guest bedrooms have a safe, and there’s AC in both bedrooms, and a separate AC unit in the living/kitchen area. The kitchen was well set up, with everything we needed for our gourmet in-house dining experiences (we’re foodies!), and there were lots of candle holders to make our evening meals extra special (we brought the candles). Each morning, the sound of morning doves was lovely to hear, and in the afternoons when the sun was high in the sky, a very large iguana (the biggest I’ve ever seen) would come to visit to enjoy our patio. Our first visit was rather tentative – for both of us! I wasn’t sure if I should be afraid or not! Soon thereafter, I had him eating from my hand. There are steps to the ocean and a small beach which allowed for easy access – for swimming, and we even did a nice shore dive on the reef in front of our property. On either side of the beach, there are cliff walls that made for some wonderful sound effects when the surf was rough. The property is well-situated too, just south of the airport, between two well-known dive sites: Bachelor’s Beach and Windsock. It’s also close to the road to Sorobon for diving on the east coast (with East Coast Divers). And it’s close to Dive Friends’ Port Bonaire dive shop for easy access to tanks, with restaurants, grocery stores and other shopping in Kralendijk, all of which was about 5-10minutes away (by car). A wonderful place to stay! It was hard to leave."

  • Nice house in a good location. Few nitpicks

"Overall our stay at Villa Carina was great. The house was very clean when we arrived and they had a nice little welcome package for us. Unfortunately the dishwasher was broken so we had to clean dishes by hand, which was not a huge pain, but still an inconvenience given there was little to no water pressure from the kitchen sink. We were only able to use the pool once because the pool cleaner came the day we arrived, and the pool quickly filled up with dead wasps, mosquitos and other debris, and there was no skimmer for us to clean it ourselves. Also, the main "living area" (kitchen, master bedroom) is upstairs, and the stairs are very narrow, and get extremely slippery when wet, so if you or someone in your party has trouble with stairs you might want to reconsider. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning in the bedroom worked great. Bachelor's beach is nearby and a fantastic place to go swim. Martin was very accomodating and met us at the airport to help us with our car rental and getting to the house. He also opened up the laundry area for us which made our trip much easier."

  • Quiet Home Away from Home

"The house is very well set up for scuba divers, drive right up to your rinse tanks and gear hanging closet that locks. Location is good for diving the whole island. The pool is excellent, nice little laundry room, tons of towels, kitchen well stocked with pots and pans, big fridge that was very cold, lots of room for your groceries. Beds were comfy and all Kings Size. Air Conditioned bedrooms and all worked well. Wifi was fast. Tv had a buzzing sound on certain stations but we think it was a service issue not the tv because it sounded fine on hdmi watching Netflix. Quiet neighbors on both sides. Construction of a big resort right across the street but it was not real noisy. The road to the house is not paved, about 1/4 mile of dirt road with potholes. But overall the house is a bargain for the price. The management company was excellent, very good customer service!"
