  • Villa Vista Mare is truly Paradise

"Villa Vista Mare was way above our expectations and we had an amazing stay there. The house was perfect for our large family and the kids had a great time. Rob and Bonne went above and beyond."

  • Great house, great location, beautiful island

"We made arrangements to rent a car as well through the management company & they met us at the airport, loaded our bags in a taxi & were driven to the house where the agent met us with the car. House is exactly as pictured. Very close to Andrea I & II dive/snorkel sites. You could walk to them, I suppose, but it would be a wee bit of a hike. Drive there in 2 minutes or less. The third bedroom & bathroom are accessed by an outside staircase. We didn't use it but just an FYI if you have plans to, you may want to put adults in it instead of children solely due to the fact that it's inaccessible from the interior of the house. The beds were comfortable & bathroom was more than adequate. One thing we discovered is the hot water is solar heated so it takes awhile to make it to the shower. The kitchen is stocked very well with dishes, cooking utincels & tons of storage. Actually tons of storage in the master bath & bedroom. There is a security system in the house & also a safe (we had some issues getting it to open consistently & had to enter the code several times). There were several beach towels provided. The only suggestion I made were a couple beach chairs that could be taken with you could come in handy as a lot of the beaches are coral rubble & not a lot of places to sit. We aren't divers & I don't snorkel as much as my husband so there were times I was wishing for a more comfortable place to sit. We had excellent food, reasonable prices & felt safe driving all around the island. Getting around downtown can be a bit confusing but by the end of the week, we were fairly able to find our way around. The island is beautiful & well worth a drive around. There are a lot of things to see & do in addition to the diving/snorkeling. We plan to return next year."

  • Fantastic stay overlooking all of Bonaire

"Had a such great time here with my wife. Such a wonderful spot up in the Sabadeco Terrace neighborhood. I've been to Bonaire twice now and this just seems like the perfect spot to be in for a vacation on Bonaire. In 10 minutes you can be down in the main part of town, but when you're at the property it's like borrowing the villa of a forgotten Bond villain. Giant french doors open all the way through the house, from the drive to the view of the sea. Sit in the shade of the outdoor-living-room style patio, sip a cold drink, go for a splash in the edge-of-the-world pool, dry off on a giant wooden chaise lounge, then fix yourself something to eat in the well-equipped kitchen just off the patio. Beds are comfy, bathrooms are large, mirrors forgiving, parrots are flying around, there's a breeze coming in off the ocean, the sun rises and sets in a burst of flames. Very civilized indeed."

  • Spectacular Place, beautiful and well maintained; but bad mosquitoes

"This is a very beautiful villa, clean, modern, high quality and well maintained villa. One of the nicest places we have stayed at. Perfect access to a good dive site down a few steps; wonderful patio with sunsets over the ocean every night, beautiful pool, deck chairs, and even a gazebo with cushions for relaxing. Extremely well equipped with modern kitchen appliances and utensils. Very clean and also a very responsive property manager. I would say this was perfect and would have given this a five star rating BUT for the really bad mosquito problem. We live in Florida and also have spent many years in third world countries in the tropics, so we know mosquitoes. But the swarms of mosquitoes around the side of the villa and under the patio were not normal, and were the only thing that made our stay less than perfect. I traced them to one source and told the property manager who vowed to treat after we left. It's a shame because mosquito control is not difficult - identify the standing water and spray the area regularly. We spent many hours zapping the dozens of skeeters that came in the villa every time we opened the patio door - time that could have been spent relaxing. I still strongly recommend this property, but advise any potential renters to be sure to get confirmation that management are practicing regular mosquito control."
