  • Our 'home' away from home

"March 2017 will be our 12th consecutive year staying at LBR13 (need we say more). The owners cater to your every need and respond quickly to any questions or issues. The condo is very clean, roomy and has many features that make our stay pleasant. Due to its direction, the breeze flows through the condo and makes it very pleasant. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen utensils, pots, pans and other items. The gas barbeque is a real plus. Off the kitchen is a storage room for all you gear and equipment. There is an American phone for your use to keep in touch with family at home. All the amenities make your stay a great experience and add to the enjoyment of your time there. We consider LBR13 our home away from home and are very happy there."

  • Wonderful stay at Oceanscape!

"My husband and I have just returned from a perfect week at Oceanscape! Connie was quick to respond to my many questions and provided extensive information about the condo and island. Bonaire is not a "luxury" destination, but this condo was as nice or nicer than the photos, was clean and welcoming, and had everything that we needed. There are a few unusual things about island locations, and Bonaire in particular... petty crime is an issue, grocery shopping has improved since our last visit but is still pricey with limited selections, and awareness of conserving resources (electricity, water, etc.) is a real need. It was very hot the week we visited, so we were very grateful for the a/c in both the bedroom and living room! As Texans we are accustomed to central a/c running round the clock throughout our home for much of the summer, so choosing to cool either the bedroom or living room (per the requested limit of one a/c on at a time) was unusual and a bit inconvenient. The bathrooms also tended to stay uncomfortably warm. The famed trade winds did keep the balcony comfortable much of the morning and evening, but weren't sufficient the week we were there to keep the living room or bedroom comfortable except perhaps in the very early morning. All of that aside, it was a wonderful week and you can't find a more convenient location! Not only is it unbelievably easy to walk right across from the airport, but it is a quick drive into "town", to the southern dive sites, to Lac Bay, or even through town to the northern dive sites. The complex was quiet and felt safe. We enjoyed the fabulous views, and walked over to the adjacent beach to snorkel as well as to get dinner at the "Kite City" food truck (fantastic Wahoo wrap!). We used the Dive Friends Bonaire adjacent to the complex (as well as in 4 other locations on the island) and were very happy with their services. We also used the grill on the balcony and cooked several meals in the kitchen which had everything we needed. Connie even made sure that there was ground coffee already in the unit for our first morning since we arrived too late for a trip to the grocery store the first night. The other condos in the unit seemed to be occupied mostly by families or couples on vacation from either US or Holland, mostly quiet but friendly. You can be "downtown" in about 5 minutes or less, perfect for an evening trip to Gio's for gelato. All in all a great spot!"

  • Great Sand Dollar Studio!

"I highly recommend this studio condo. This was my second trip to Bonaire, and third Sand Dollar unit I have stayed at. David was excellent to work with in making arrangements. The unit was in excellent condition and well stocked. Compared to most units it is very close to a staircase to the ocean. The pictures show the older staircase, which was apparently limited to snorkeling and swimming. The newer one is safe for scuba divers, thus making this unit very close to a dive entry. The unit had a dedicated wifi router, which is a significant improvement over one unit we used last year for which the Sand Dollar community wifi never worked. I was diving with some extra gear (pony bottle, etc.), so the ground unit was very convenient. The unit is on the north side of the complex, and the dive shop is on the south side. However, since one has a truck when diving in Bonaire, I simply drove over to pickup tanks each morning, even when diving near the condo. I would love to stay in F-17 again on a future trip."

  • Perfect location for snorkeling and scuba diving

"The home reef, the spectacular views from the terrace, and Leanne's attentiveness made this a five star experience. We stayed in Apt 1, which was clean, comfortable and had all the necessities. I can go on and on about what a great place and time we had, but here are the highlights: 1. The home reef is pretty shallow, so if you're not a diver, it's a perfect spot to snorkel. There's a small pathway couple of yards from the condo that leads you out to the reef. Turtles, eels, barracudas, FROG FISH! 2. It's a great location if you don't want to rent a car. A mid-size market and Friends Dive is close by. 3. Staying at Leanne's felt like I was a guest at a friends beach house. We loved meeting the guests from the other units. Great way to meet friends on vacation. 4. There were couple of minor inconveniences, and it's more to do with being on a small island. We lost water for about an hour and the TV never worked. (But, the internet reception was always strong. Very important.) There are no laundry machine in the condo, so you have to drop it off or go to a self-serve laundromat. And make sure you bring your debit card or personal checks. The banks here charge a lot for credit card use from the merchants. Lastly, bring a portable water bottle from home. Bonaire water is safe to drink, so fill it up, keep it cool and hydrate! All in all, we had a perfect vacation. Thanks Leanne and Tim for a lovely stay!!!"
