  • Family travel

"Our stay at Moonstone was wonderful! The villa was just as advertised ... the villa was clean and in great shape, the views are spectacular, the furniture comfortable and even had weekly cleaning service. There were towels for the bathrooms and the beach, dishes and cookware, an outdoor gas grill, water bottles already filled when we arrived..... we made many trips to the local West End marina grocery store and made dinner every night at the villa. Sam and Sharlene were extremely helpful and available when we had questions, and Sharlene met us at the ferry to take us to the villa so we could find it! The north side location was good for visiting the beaches and snorkling, and convenient to reach Road Town and West End."

  • Perfect for families or groups of friends......Gorgeous views

"Our family of 6 recently spent 8 terrific days in The Murray House on Tortola. Murray is in the West End and overlooks the gorgeous Long Bay beach. There is a huge family room where we would play games and relax in front of the TV in the evening. A very well appointed kitchen which we appreciated, complete with dishwasher and washer/dryer set. The lay out is great for groups and allows everyone to have privacy as well. There are multiple levels which allowed for multiple balconies and views. A large dining table and grill were great for us all to dine together right by the pool. And chairs and other tables around the property were nice to have available as well. Every room is screened so you can have the fans on with a nice tropical breeze and still feel like you are out of doors. The bedrooms were all air conditioned so sleeping was comfortable. Sam and Sharlene were fantastically helpful before and during our stay. They answered tons of questions and Sharlene met us at the ferry dock and escorted us to The Murray House. It really was the perfect place for us for a wonderful vacation to the BVI'S. The first of many I hope!"

  • Honeymoon in Tortola

"We had such a phenomenal honeymoon in Tortola. The house was private and the view was phenomenal. We enjoyed watching the sunsets, grilling out, the pool, the XM radio, and the Wi-Fi to stay connected to the world. Everything you need is at the house, so if you want to stay in you can. It is also close to other islands so if you want to explore you can. We went to Jost Van Dyke (Foxy's and the Bubbly Pool), Virgin Gorda (the Baths and the view from Hog Heaven), and St. John (Woody's, Sam and Jack's Deli for food and Cinnamon Bay for the beach). Road Town (10 minutes) is very close for groceries and anything you may have forgotten. John is such a gracious host and gives you great details on places to go and how to get there. We can't wait to get back!"

  • NIRVANA DEFINED

"The definition of Nirvana is a state of perfect happiness; an ideal or idyllic place. This also defines Kerensa House. We planned an 8-day charter sail of the BVI's and afterwards a few nights stay at Kerensa House. Our sailing trip had totally relaxed us...or so we thought. When we arrived at Kerensa house, we made our way through a wooded area down the long rock stairway and discovered a spot so serene that we did not want to leave. Everything about Kerensa house characterizes a perfect Caribbean getaway. Terra cotta stucco trimmed in Caribbean blues, open dining area (just calling for a dinner party), a cool blue and white bedroom furnished with a most-comfortable 4-poster bed complete with a crystal chandelier in the sitting area and a bathroom to die for with an outdoor shower. A perfectly appointed great-room includes antiques, artwork, and books, a kitchen on one end, a sofa that folds out and high-tech WiFi, TV, Bose speakers and A/C. The house's balconies and porches have rocking chairs or lounges for sleeping, reading or day-dreaming. But the real calming effect comes when you step out to the vista. The infinity pool stretches out over a 180º view of The Caribbean Sea with tiny sailboats catching the wind up and down the waterway, silhouettes of distant islands and drop dead sunsets. Behind the pool finds a pergola with a vine of wisteria-type purple blossoms and comfy seating. We have been visiting the BVI's since 1976...sailing and renting houses. I can only say this...DO NOT MISS the Kerensa House experience...it's one of a kind...and you will leave with a real sense of tranquility."
