  • 5 Stars for " On the Rocks"

"5 Stars for “On the Rocks!” We expected a luxurious villa with great views, but we got so much more…we were blown away. Maybe the best description of On the Rocks is perfection. After our week with two other couples we all concluded we had experienced the perfect vacation! Where to begin…the property was exquisite. On the Rocks is nestled amongst the world-famous gigantic boulders of Virgin Gorda and a perfectly manicured Caribbean landscape of shrubs, trees and flowers that made you feel like you have the island to yourself. Being only a few minute’s walk from the beach was so convenient we did it several times a day. And the beaches were more spectacular than any we had every seen. They were simply remarkable! The central living area was definitely designed for entertaining. The kitchen was perfect for the “group” cooking sessions we shared several times a day. This was open to the living room and dining area, which allowed for all of us to be in the conversation regardless of where we were in the room. We loved the Viking range and all the upscale amenities you would hope to find in a world-class villa. I think our favorite space on the property was the patio. Every moment we spent there brought new and unique views of Little Trunk Bay, the most desirable location on the island. There were times when we were entertained by groups of yachts racing past our porch deck. Of course we spotted the occasional cruise ship or two crossing our perfectly positioned vantage point. There was never a time when we did not have a view to behold. But mostly we were mesmerized by the natural beauty of the Caribbean blue water and the ever changing conditions of the weather, sunsets, sun rises, and everything in between. It was very difficult to leave “our glorious view” at the end of the week. The individual bedroom suites were each completely different, yet each one was highly appealing in its own way. I am convinced each couple thought they had the “best” accommodations. We enjoyed the privacy of our suite a few dozen yards’ walk from the shared living area. It was so peaceful and private. We almost forgot we were sharing the property with others. On the Rocks is a vacation villa like no other we have ever experienced. We truly loved it and completely enjoyed our week to its full extent because we had such a great place to share with our friends. We’ll definitely be back soon!"

  • Paradise on Earth

"If you want to experience a home set in a tropical paradise overlooking the endless shades of blue of the Caribbean, look no further. From the very first outreach about booking to the conclusion of our trip, Michael was beyond helpful and provided details around every aspect of the travel to and from the island as well as the home itself. House Manager Tiina met us at the dock, get us set with our rental car, took us to get provisions and got us all settled in the villa. She is amazing and such a great resource during our stay. The photos cannot do justice to the spectacular views from almost every side of the villa itself. You almost can't believe it's real and right in front of you. The home is built into the hillside overlooking the sea and Leverick Bay beneath and is surrounded by lush, flowering tropical plants and trees for complete privacy. All of the furnishings, including some custom made, are very comfortable and functional in addition to being perfect for the home's style. We spent hours on the deck recliners enjoying the view of the water and boats of all kinds coming and going after a full day of snorkeling, beach time and exploring. This home and Virgin Gorda are the perfect destination for water sports lovers, beach enthusiasts, snorkelers and divers, and anyone who loves beauty and relaxation on "island time." Visit Spring Bay, Long Bay and Valley Truck Bay for great snorkeling. Savannah Bay was also a wonderful day. Can't go wrong with any of the beaches. Take the free ferry to Bitter End Yacht Club for some brick over pizza and the best key lime pie. Visit Hog Heaven for the spectacular views and great food -- ribs, fried chicken and fresh potato salad were among our favorites. Ride out of the Copper Mine ruins (closed in the mid-1800s) and get great views of the Atlantic side of the island. The Top of the Baths restaurant is always a great lunch stop but go back at dinner for a more upscale dining experience and menu - on certain nights they also have a fire dancer which was awesome. We had a great experience with Mahogany car rentals as well. My only hesitation is recommending is that everyone will discover this treasure making it harder for us to find an open date next time we visit -- and we will. Thanks for a vacation of a lifetime!"

  • Great vacation home rental

"My wife and I rented Mirabella home for five days in February 2016. The home is well-appointed, spacious, clean and very homey. It has spectacular views as it is high on a hill, good parking, and is only 10 minutes by car to the Baths and other major attractions. Sharon was most accommodating and helpful. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals; free wifi; TV; comfortable beds. We would definitely return to Mirabella."

  • Just another day in paradise!

"Absolutely wonderful vacation- I just wanted to tell you that we had an amazing vacation. Your Island Dream was perfect. The views were sublime. We drove all over and hiked a bit as well. Loved the trail down to the beaches. So much fun. I felt like a little kid again. The kids (15 & 17 yr. olds) fave was snorkeling at the Baths. And jumping off the boulders. Yikes! The water clarity is amazing. We all loved the swimming pool and that front porch is just perfect. Enjoyed reading one of your books, "A Trip to the Beach". Guess who we saw riding bikes, in the lead of course, with a group? Sir Richard Branson himself. Glad to see he was wearing a helmet. Lol Took a day trip to Tortola, which by the way has banned smoking (several years now?) in public places. How I wish they'd do the same here in Charleston, SC. Did some shopping there and ate at Pussers. It was a great and relaxing vacation, despite driving on the "correct" side of the road. It was the first time ever my husband said he wanted to come back to the same place. Thanks again!"
