  • The Five Star Reviews are TRUE

"I can confirm that all the positive things that others have said in their reviews are true. I took my wife and 11 year old boy for their first visit to the Caribbean. Expectations -- especially mine -- for the prefect vacation were running high. Years ago I had stayed in West End, and that is where I first set out to find a rental for us. I hadn't even considered Beef Island. Even though on my previous visit I had never made it to that part of the island. Why would I want to stay near the airport when Long Bay (the other LB - West!) is so beautiful? Turns out, Beef Island/East End is the prettiest, quietest and cleanest part of the island. Jan's place is just lovely, with wonderful views and breezes and pretty plantings. I loved playing in the pool with my son after a day out. There are no pictures of the kitchen -- so let me assure you that it's a full functioning kitchen with absolutely everything you could ever need to cook any meal. Long Bay beach below was almost always deserted -- and it's gorgeous. Worried about the airport below? It truly does vanish into the background. We rented a car for the week and visited a bunch of other beaches; we never stayed long though -- too many people or not as nice; "let's get back to our beach!" We saw lots of nice fish in the bay and snorkeled with turtles on three consecutive days. Another huge plus is having Trellis Bay just a few minutes car drive away, with its few quaint arts shops and a couple good places to eat (huge rotis for $7). 10 Starts, not five! Thanks Jan! You're a great host."

  • I cried...

"I'm an architectural designer and I see a lot of beautiful homes. When I walked down the stairs and entered Cooten House however, I literally shed tears of joy. It's more than just one of the most beautiful spots on this planet, it's a real home. The space is magical for it's simplicity, privacy and style. Well done Marija and Jeremy! I can't believe you are willing to share such a special space. Thank you!!! I will forever remember what it felt like to sit on the deck with a book and a cup of coffee, enveloped in complete privacy, looking out at the sea down below me. Absolute Peace and Perfection! And as we left... I cried again."

  • AMAZING Trip

"Blessed to spend a week in paradise with my fians! The Great House Villa certainly lived up to all the hype I had read on these reviews. As mentioned by many - Cathryn was great to work with and Saga was awesome. Saga stopped by every day to make sure we had everything we needed. It was our first time to the Virgin Islands and I can’t imagine a better location. The peacefulness and beauty of Jost east side is perfection. This combined with the dinghy, is really the key to the perfect blend of relaxation and amazing adventures . With calm seas each day we were able to visit each of the places Cathryn points out in her day trip ideas (Bubbly pool, Great Harbour, White Bay, Sandy Spit, Sandy Cay). We loved them all - hard to pick out a favorite! It’s hard to add to what others have said - the grounds of the house are gorgeous - sweeping views, beautiful gardens, starlit nights - gosh, I really miss it! The interior of the house is wonderfully decorated throughout and really does have all the amenities - topped off by amazing views from every room (even the bathrooms!).The plunge pool and outdoor showers were a perfect complement to the tropical weather. I can't even express all of my gratitude to Kathrn and will be back very soon!"

"Casa Luna is a hidden gem! It's nestled beneath the beautiful tamarind trees so it stays nice and cool. Casa Luna is great for a small family getaway or even for a couple. It has a nice working kitchen and the bath is a good size too. It's pretty private and only a 3 min walk to the beach called Spring Bay. The water is amazing and the snorkling is spectacular! If you need snorkel gear, you can just walk next door and rent it from Tina at Guava Berry. There is also a cute little commissary where you can get food and happy hours beverages if you don't want to go into town. We can't wait to go back to VG and stay in our favorite little hide away, Casa Luna."
