  • Best Vacation Ever

"Sorry it took so long to write this review. As you know, life seems to get in the way sometimes when you get back from vacation. The funny part is, although this trip was two months ago, I can remember every single part of it. Island Dream was a big reason for that. This trip was a celebration of my wife's 40th birthday and it was the best vacation we have ever taken. The minute we arrived via ferry to Virgin Gorda and were met at the dock by the property caretaker, Howard, we knew it was going to be a fantastic seven days. Howard led us back to the villa that was lit up in the evening darkness with the windows open and the breeze off of the sea blowing in. Howard showed us around and had even stocked the fridge with the ingredients for a fantastic meal after a long travel day. The villa was perfect for our two couples. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you'd need to cook, grill, etc. The bedrooms were cozy and the AC in each was nice to have on those hot nights. The outdoor showers added the perfect sense of paradise. And the pool... what to say about the pool other than we used it every day. Sometimes two or three times a day. What a perfect place to relax after a day of beach hopping. Island Dream is perfectly located in the middle of the island with easy access to Spanish Town and North Sound and everything in between. It may be a little too close to Hog Heaven, because we became regulars during our stay. Yes, they knew our names by the end of our trip. Coming from Kansas Citians who know BBQ, do not miss this place. The trails from Island Dream down to the beach were a great hike. The views from the villa are worth every penny. Our favorite beaches were Trunk Bay, Spring Bay, and Savannah Bay. The Baths were incredible. Our day trip to Anegada was amazing. We also spent a day on the water with Gumption and his Sea It Clear boat, getting to see sea turtles, sharks, and an up close view of Necker Island with a wave from Sir Richard Branson himself. As I said, this was the perfect vacation and Island Dream was a big part of that. Mary was a delight to work with leading up to our trip as we changed the dates and length of our trip a few times :) I could not recommend Island Dream more. We are already planning our next trip back to Virgin Gorda and this will be where we stay. Best, Brandon and Julie Urban"

  • Honeymoon in Tortola

"We had such a phenomenal honeymoon in Tortola. The house was private and the view was phenomenal. We enjoyed watching the sunsets, grilling out, the pool, the XM radio, and the Wi-Fi to stay connected to the world. Everything you need is at the house, so if you want to stay in you can. It is also close to other islands so if you want to explore you can. We went to Jost Van Dyke (Foxy's and the Bubbly Pool), Virgin Gorda (the Baths and the view from Hog Heaven), and St. John (Woody's, Sam and Jack's Deli for food and Cinnamon Bay for the beach). Road Town (10 minutes) is very close for groceries and anything you may have forgotten. John is such a gracious host and gives you great details on places to go and how to get there. We can't wait to get back!"

  • BVI June 2016

"We returned to Summer Heights as the location is wonderful for us a couple of doors away from my cousin and to enjoy the peace and serenity of the BVI and magical views. We were celebrating our daughters 21st Birthday and therefore wanted everything to be special. Indeed it did not disappoint Everything in the Villa that you could possible need is there for you too enjoy. The large ensuite bedrooms with air-conditioning and Mosquito blinds comfortable double beds with the option of two single beds in one bedroom. Games Cd’s and a computer in the lounge was also another added bonus. There are plenty of books to cover every literary taste and plenty of local magazines offering very useful information about the Islands, boat hire and restaurants. The large utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer are very useful if you don’t want to pack too much to take with you. Although we did not cook that much we had the use of a cooker microwave and very large fridge freezer. Had we of wanted to we could have probably catered for the whole Island with the amount of crockery and cutlery in the Villa. The pool is a must in the heat and we made good use of it the friendly pool technician maintained this twice a week for us. A particularly good feature was that it had pool lights on all night just in case of sleep walkers I guess or youngsters wanting a midnight dip! We left Summer Heights with sadness that we could not stay longer but we have met and made many friends and our memories of a wonderful holiday here will live on."

  • The real island experience

"If you want to get away from the tourist thing and really experience the islands, mermaid villa is the place for you. Jan's place is on top of little mountain where you get the best views you could ask for. The villa was nice, well-equipped and even had a private pool. We did our grocery shopping just a mile down the road and the island hopping was easy due to the centralized location. Not to mention, you had a private beach a half mile away. I highly recommend mermaid villa to anyone who is looking for the true island experience."
