  • Everything you need

"We stayed in this condo for our first ever trip to Grand Cayman. The unit is small but is perfect for 2 people. It is close to multiple restaurants and shopping options and is across the street from Diver's Supply, where we rented snorkel equipment. The beach is so beautiful. It has very few rocks, unlike several properties just to the south which are fairly rocky. The beach and water were more wonderful than expected. Just awesome. This condo development is quiet and very well kept. The grounds are nicely landscaped and well maintained. The pool was as well, with warm, clear water. The management and staff were extremely helpful and friendly during checkin, when we had questions, and when we would see them around the complex. Overall we had an awesome time and will definitely go back, and likely stay at this condo development. One note though - be sure to take your own supplies as the owner doesn't provide much (one roll of toilet paper only)."

  • Perfect Private Beach

"We came to Castaway Cottage to 'get away from it all'. And we were not disappointed.. We absolutely loved having our private beach and had no desire to travel to 'touristy' areas. Stocked up on groceries and with the fully furnished kitchen we had no reason to leave. The cottage is as described, actually even better in person. Very clean with comfortable bed and pillows. Susan and Thom are wonderful hosts, respectful of privacy but nearby if you need anything. We're leaving tomorrow, rested and renewed. Highly recommend this cottage."

  • Perfect for a quiet, restful getaway - so glad we found it!

"This property is exactly as advertised: a charmingly furnished, well-equipped condo right on the beach, in a quiet, peaceful setting. It has practically everything you could want, including books, games, a cellphone, a 5-gallon jug of water, ceiling fans in every room AND the porch, and a TV with plenty of channels. Tammey sent us multiple e-mails with all kinds of information on what to see and do. It was incredibly quiet during our stay--at most we heard a few voices at the pool and just a bit of music from the Tuesday night barbecue next door. That barbecue is at Kaibo, a really good beach restaurant serving lunch, dinner, and a few light breakfast items that's literally right next door--couldn't be more convenient or fun! We thought the highlight of the unit is the screened porch right on the beach. We spent hours out there enjoying the lovely view, especially at sunset. We also liked being able to walk to Starfish Point (tip: we saw more starfish along the beach near our condo than at Starfish Point--just keep walking past Kaibo and you'll see them). Rum Point is a 3-minute drive away, or you could easily bike there. While we had a wonderful time and are already planning our next visit, this condo isn't for everyone. You're a 45-60 minute drive from the shopping, nightlife, and tourist attractions of George Town, Seven Mile Beach, and West End. If you're from the U.S. or Canada, driving a car with controls on the right side down the left side of the road requires extra vigilance. And if your idea of a vacation is not cooking, there are just four restaurants and one convenience store within a 15-minute drive. Tammey suggests stopping at a supermarket on your drive from the airport (or, for a fee, having Barbara do the shopping for you) and packing what food you can in your luggage (everything is pricier in the Caymans). We strongly agree. While this is beachfront property, it's not oceanfront. The unit is on a cove within Little Sound, which is off North Sound. So, while the water is clear, it's as still as a lagoon, there's a lot of seaweed, and the sand is sometimes coarse. Lovely to look at, but not the best for wading or swimming. This didn't bother us at all--there's a pool and whirlpool just steps away, and Starfish Point and Rum Point both have some seaweed-free spots. We're so glad we found this place, and we can't wait to go back!"

  • Perfect Location!!!!

"We had the perfect week!! Thank you for everything. If you are looking for the perfect spot, look no further-this is definitely it! We wanted quiet & relaxing but also to be close enough to all of the amazing amenities the island has to offer and we could not have picked a better place. Who wouldn't want to drink their morning coffee under the palm trees listening to the waves? We are already looking to plan our next trip and will for sure stay in the same place. The condo was spotless clean and we had everything we needed to cook some of our meals. There is even a small washer & dryer that didn't seam like a big deal when we booked our trip but by the 3rd day we were extremely grateful it was there! You are literally just steps from the water and have perfect beach, swimming and snorkeling right out your front door. If you are planning a trip to the Cayman Islands going to Stingray City is an absolute must! What an amazing experience. We also loved the all you can eat lobster on Tuesday nights at Decker's on 7 mile beach! The Sanders Family Reedsburg, Wisconsin"
