  • Very Peaceful Piece of Paradise

"We just returned from a week at this wonderful property. It was very clean and extremely well stocked. The staff on site was quite helpful. If you want peace and quiet this is a good place for you. The snorkeling in front is just like depicted in the pictures. It is next to Rum Point where there is a bar, restaurant and water sport rentals. If you want to be where all of the action and tourist attractions are this location will require a drive across the island a minimum or 45 minutes. There are several restaurants within a 10 to 15 minute drive. Don't miss the Queen Elizabeth Botanical Gardens. We loved our week here and hope to return again some day."

  • Rum Point Retreat

"Our family of four from Boston ( two adults & two teens) arrived at the condo for some relaxation after spending a fun but hectic week on seven mile beach. The condo was perfect, lots of space and well equipped. The view of the beach from the screened in porch was lovely. It was great being right next door to the public Rum Point beach with snack bar, restaurant, shop, and watersports, but still having our own private, quiet beach to ourselves. It was like being in a resort but with our own space, and much better value. To be so close to the beach, with so many amenities, and still feel secluded is very rare. We enjoyed snorkeling from the beach (saw Sting Rays, Lion fish, Barracuda, Cuttlefish and many more) trip to Sting Ray City with Red Sail Sports (go late in the day when no cruise ships are in), sunset at Starfish Point, and the nearby caves tour (fantastic stalactites and stalagmites). Eating out options are fairly limited if you don't want to drive so stock up on groceries before coming. There is a small supermarket about 10 minutes away for basics). This is the perfect location to rest and unwind after spending time on the other side of the island. Thanks for a great stay."

  • Perfect for a quiet, restful getaway - so glad we found it!

"This property is exactly as advertised: a charmingly furnished, well-equipped condo right on the beach, in a quiet, peaceful setting. It has practically everything you could want, including books, games, a cellphone, a 5-gallon jug of water, ceiling fans in every room AND the porch, and a TV with plenty of channels. Tammey sent us multiple e-mails with all kinds of information on what to see and do. It was incredibly quiet during our stay--at most we heard a few voices at the pool and just a bit of music from the Tuesday night barbecue next door. That barbecue is at Kaibo, a really good beach restaurant serving lunch, dinner, and a few light breakfast items that's literally right next door--couldn't be more convenient or fun! We thought the highlight of the unit is the screened porch right on the beach. We spent hours out there enjoying the lovely view, especially at sunset. We also liked being able to walk to Starfish Point (tip: we saw more starfish along the beach near our condo than at Starfish Point--just keep walking past Kaibo and you'll see them). Rum Point is a 3-minute drive away, or you could easily bike there. While we had a wonderful time and are already planning our next visit, this condo isn't for everyone. You're a 45-60 minute drive from the shopping, nightlife, and tourist attractions of George Town, Seven Mile Beach, and West End. If you're from the U.S. or Canada, driving a car with controls on the right side down the left side of the road requires extra vigilance. And if your idea of a vacation is not cooking, there are just four restaurants and one convenience store within a 15-minute drive. Tammey suggests stopping at a supermarket on your drive from the airport (or, for a fee, having Barbara do the shopping for you) and packing what food you can in your luggage (everything is pricier in the Caymans). We strongly agree. While this is beachfront property, it's not oceanfront. The unit is on a cove within Little Sound, which is off North Sound. So, while the water is clear, it's as still as a lagoon, there's a lot of seaweed, and the sand is sometimes coarse. Lovely to look at, but not the best for wading or swimming. This didn't bother us at all--there's a pool and whirlpool just steps away, and Starfish Point and Rum Point both have some seaweed-free spots. We're so glad we found this place, and we can't wait to go back!"

  • Wonderful Getaway

"My wife and I were able to spend a lovely 4 day getaway without kids at Kaibo Yacht Club. What a great escape. The condo is very well equipped and beautifully located right next to the water and overlooking the pool. The view from the screened deck looks like a postcard. My wife, who sunburns very easily was able to enjoy laying out on the community beach chaise lounges under the shade of very mature palm trees. The stress of the city immediately melted away. Enjoyed meals and drinks at Kaibo restaurant. Had great meal at the Monday BBQ at Rum Point. We explored the North and East side of the island (found some fantastic deserted beaches) and loved the feel of the East side. We toured the Queens Botanical Gardens and ate at the recommended Kurts Korner (my wife said it was the best grilled vegetables she's ever had). Mark was very good at getting back to us quickly with any questions. Everything was ready for us, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Community has many locals who were very friendly, you don't feel as if you are in a tourist trap area. We look forward to coming back and this time we might even bring the kids. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer."
