  • Loved the location and the pool

"This was our second time to Caymen, after a day visit from a cruise two years ago. We weren't sure where we wanted to stay, but decided against Seven Mile Beach area because of the crowds. The North Side seemed to get good reviews, so we gambled and it payed off. Overall, I loved Grand Cayman and the house was a great home base from which to explore. Points on the house location. 1. Great location on quiet side of the island. Virtually no traffic and very peaceful. 2. Construction was going on across the street. It didn't bother us much and we got a discount because of it. 3. Rum Point Club down the block. I wasn't super impressed with it. The swimming area was ok. There are better beaches on the island. The restaurant and bar were super expensive and the food was mediocre at best. But you can book excursions to snorkel or go to Sting Ray City there. That was convenient.l 4. The house is actually on a bay, not the ocean. It was fine, but we couldn't really swim there. There were jelly fish in the bay while we were there. My kids did kayak though. We tried to see the Bioluminescence at night, but weren't lucky enough. Not sure if it was the timing or what. 5. We were a quick five minute drive to Starfish Point which was a nice beach. 6. There is no grocery store nearby. There is a place called Chisolms about 5 - 10 minutes away, but the prices were really high there. Stop on the way in at the corner of Hirst and Shamrock. There is a decent IGA there. 7. You'll need to plan a couple of day trips to go over to the more touristy things on the other side of the island. There are some beaches over there definitely worth checking out (Cemetery Beach was a favorite). Points on the house: 1. Very clean. 2. Great pool. Very well kept. This was awesome for the kids. 3. Had outside showers for when we got back from the beach so we didn't have to track in all of the sand. 4. Kitchen is kind of stocked. I've done other VRBO rentals with better kitchen equipment. We could have used some sharp knives for fileting fish (or at least a sharpener). 5. The living room furniture isn't that conducive to family gatherings. We wanted to watch movies a few nights and it was a little uncomfortable. 6. The beds and bedding were all fine. Again - everything was clean. 7. We had enough towels, but did have to launder them a few times. Mostly that's because my kids have an issue with hanging up their towels. All in all - I would recommend."

  • Greatest Honeymoon spot ever!

"This property was beautiful and clean. This location is a great getaway from home, especially for couples on their honeymoon or looking to get away for a peaceful, quiet trip! This condo is very roomy and there is also plenty of space for families with children. I am even wanting to come back and bring my parents for a family vacation. I loved the kitchen and bar area. The fridge was great and held all the foods we purchased at the grocery in Seven mile beach area "Kirk's market". The only thing travelers should be aware of is that you should rent a car when traveling to this condo, we did a lot of driving and we traveled the entire island to the different beaches, but found Rum point was the best, and we really enjoyed Star fish point also, which is really close to the condo. Snorkeling was fun and the pool was beautiful. I will definitely brag on Val as she was wonderful and extremely helpful and attentive. Even with Hurricane Matthew updates that might have spoiled our trip, but thankfully didn't. :) Can't Wait to return! Thank you for such a great honeymoon location, condo and trip!"

  • Wonderful Location! Very Private, lots of little fish along the rocks at the shore.

"We loved the fact that you are on a wonderful soft sand beach the moment you step foot outside. Comfortable home, comfortable beds. We had no issues with the house, and found the manager very friendly and welcoming. Called once to inquire about renting kayaks, quick response. I would be willing to pay a bit more a night if they ever included kayaks as rental is fairly expensive. However, being right at the entrance of the bioluminescence bay, you have the best of both worlds at your back door. The waters are calm, very inviting. We did discover that swimming through shallow grassy areas may not be the best idea...."sea lice." Microscopic ? jelly fish. Most of us were stung a little, but it was very minor and went away within the day. In the future, easy to avoid. (I just got caught up seeing the fish.) My husband had the time of his life enjoying the sunset, a drink, his music (we bright an iPone speaker) and grilling (they have a small charcoal grill.) We cooked our on meals and the kitchen had all our basic needs. You may want to bring baggies for food storage. (Not many plastic containers.) For first time guests, I advise renting a car large enough for your luggage and groceries. Once you land, get your groceries first, in town. (The drive is about 40-50 minutes from the airport. This will save you time. If you plan to grill, be sure to buy charcoal and lighter fluid. There are nice places to eat close, but it's not cheap. Cooking saves money. It's a great family vacation. We will definitely be back! One more thought, keep in mind that the grocery stores are closed on Sundays."
