Recent Seven Mile Beach reviews

  • Best Place on the Island -

"We stayed in the Penthouse - the one next door to the Marriott with the giant patio / balcony right over Seven Mile Beach. This unit sleeps 7 (a king size, a queen, a twin in with a set of bunkbeds). There were only two of us so we can only rate the bed in the master bedroom - I slept like a rock every night. I think it's a temperpedic bed and you never felt your partner moving around - was very comfortable. The whole condo was amazing - beautiful modern granite / tile kitchen and baths. Spacious living and dining room. All the comforts of home. The Marriott was right next door, a simple two foot wall to step over for the best mudslides at the Vista Bar after your day on the beach. Seriously - we tried mudslides all over the island and these were by far the best but, a very crowded beach and hotel. We walked the beach one night (bring bug spray!!! I cannot stress this enough!) and there was not one location (including the Ritz Carlton) that we would have rather stayed. I'm sure the Ritz is fancy and comfortable but in the end, it's just a ROOM along with the crowded beaches and beach chairs to go with it. We had a HOME to return to each day and a calm uncrowded beach. Never had a problem getting chairs with an umbrella (you really do need shade at times!) and all of this a mere 100' or so from your condo. Best views anywhere - I watched a lightening storm early one morning over the ocean while watching the sunrise behind the complex at the same time - was strange to be able to see both. There is daily maid service (other than Sunday) and everything but your own food is provided. Kirk Market - 5 minutes away - was an amazing grocery store - I agree with other reviews - comparable to Whole Foods. There is a great dive shop also just down the road (same complex as Chicken! Chicken!) where the people were very helpful and knowledgeable. There are plenty of things to do but we both agreed, if we had another 7 days and NO where to go, the beach and condo would still have made for a 5 star vacation! Carol, Cinnamon, Jennifer - all great people to deal with. You won't regret a stay at this unit! The balcony alone was worth the stay!"

  • A super condo that has it all and made us feel at home. We totally recommend it to anybody!

"For our scuba diving vacation, we first decided on our dive company "Off The Wall". They referred us to this condo because the condo owners do their diving with OTW. We still did lots of research as to where to stay but inevitably chose this condo based on the great reviews and location. Getting our emails and questions answered in a very timely manner sealed our decision. There were 4 of us and this 2 bedroom condo was absolutely perfect. The highlights for us were the ease of use of the kitchen, having our own bathrooms which were off our individual bedrooms, and the wonderful balcony. Each bedroom had huge closets containing many hangers (loved that) for your clothes. The grounds were impeccable and we saw multiple maintenance folks attending to every detail of the grounds. Sitting on our balcony, we saw them cleaning the grills, the pool, and the grounds all the time. The condo is in a lovely quiet neighborhood located off the main road and we got to walk everywhere. The decision was made not to rent a car because we had read about the busses that travel up and down the main road. The bus situation was THE BEST we could have hoped for. They do indeed honk their horn at you if you are walking and will stop to pick you up and take you where you are going. The fare is about $2.50 each person no matter how far you are traveling. (we took a cab from the airport which was $18). All the locals on the bus would help you out with advice and there were super friendly. We felt totally at ease everywhere we went! Grand Cayman itself has lots to offer and the four of us went diving on 3 of our 7 days. Yes, there are a multitude of dive companies to pick from. We chose "Off The Wall" and we were very glad we did. They knew the island, they were super organized, and they did a wonderful job taking us to fantastic dive sites. However, they would NOT store our wetsuits and we had to bring them back everyday and dry them on the balcony on a rack we found in the closet. If you decide to visit "Stingray City" we recommend using "Captain Marvin's" to take your tour. The price was so reasonable, the bus that picks you up is great, and their boats are very nice. It IS a zoo at the actual ocean spot so no matter what tour boat you take, there will be a crowd. In summary, we thank the owners for allowing folks to rent their condo and we want you to know we enjoyed it immensely. It is truly represented here online accurately as a great condo!"

  • Best Vacation destination (Stayed 5/7 - 5/14)

"So I typically set my expectations low when traveling but Ralph and Ginny’s condo exceeded our expectations. The condo was nicely decorated and furnished, very clean and there was of course a beautiful view from their balcony as well. This was our first time renting a condo versus going to a hotel. As Ralph and others have mentioned the food can be expensive in Grand Cayman especially considering the currency change. We were very thankful for having the ability to prepare some of our meals at the condo after paying for our first meal/lunch for two at the Western (about $90.00). We also much preferred the space/privacy we had on the beach comparing to the Western or the Ritz. I can’t say enough about our stay, great condo, nice pleasant people everywhere you go and great food. We didn’t rent a car so I paid for food delivery to the condo. This service was good but you can also walk two blocks to Fosters and buy your own. At least this way you can see all that is available. You can also take one of their carts back to the condo I believe they pick them up. Here are some of the great restaurants we went to: The Grand Old House, Eat’s Café, Eduardo’s (Italian), Copper Falls (Steak), Sunshire Grill (Best Hamburger), Duke’s Sea food and Rib shack (Great Ribs and Chicken), and CASA43 (Best Mexican food). All within walking distance except for the Grand Old House. My wife and I also enjoyed the calm, warm surf floating the day's away. I would highly recommend this Condo. Ralph was very helpful, Thanks Ralph.. Best Regards, Rheal and Jean"

  • Paradise on Earth

"5 of us stayed at Christina's place for a week. The condo was just as pictured, and the view unbelievable. White sandy beach with 82 degree water...and a fantastic large swimming pool steps away....and long enough to do laps--very clean and warm water. We had everything we needed to make our vacation wonderful, and we will definitely ask for unit 121 next trip to Cayman."
