  • Kai Kotch Stay: April 2-9, 2016

"Our vacation was a delight. The property was well maintained and, as advertised, well stocked. We used the bicycles, kayaks and snorkeling equipment. There are also two paddleboards, but we were unable to find the paddle. The kitchen also was well provisioned, and we were able to prepare a couple of meals a day without missing any of the kitchen amenities of home. We had a slight misunderstanding with the management company on our arrival time, but the owner stopped by to apologize and presented us with a chilled bottle of wine. Very considerate. This was our first stay at Rum Point and we were not disappointed. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing break and Rum Point fit the bill. Every morning we kayaked about 45 minutes to Kai Kaibo for espresso and pastries and then paddled back. We were blessed with good weather and nice sunsets. We would recommend the property without reservation and hope to return in the future."

  • Excellent stay at a perfect location

"We (myself, wife, my 22-year old son, my wife's 22-year old son, my wife's 20-year old daughter, and daughter's 21-year old boyfriend) traveled to Grand Cayman in December of 2016. We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this property. The location was perfect for us. We were near the southernmost "good" part of Seven Mile Beach (just a few properties south the beach and water becomes less desirable/usable) in a quiet location but still near lots of features. The Marriott, with its man-made reef out front (great for snorkeling) is two properties to the north, but at Tamarind Bay you're not crammed into a small piece of beach surrounded, literally, by other guests. I can't say enough about the location on Seven Mile Beach - perfect for us. Nearby there are several good restaurants, some late-night quick food, a gas station/convenience store, and a grocery store is within walking distance (though you might want to cab back once you have bags - $10.00 U.S.). Peppers has great food, Craft does as well, and Cimboco is excellent. Stingers next door behind Comfort Suites has great staff, drinks and good food. Andy's Rent-a-Car is right across the street. The condo's grounds were attractive and well-kept. The staff were friendly and outgoing. The pool (we didn't use it) was clean every day. Condo accommodations were excellent as well. Three bedrooms, one having a queen and a set of bunk beds. Two bathrooms, two TVs, wi-fi was great, kitchen has everything you need. Beach towels are made available. Washer and dryer in unit was a big help. I cannot recommend Pierre and Andre's condo enough!"

  • Great private beach and exceptional accommodations

"Wonderful property. Owner communication was great. Had trouble with turning on a light and owner emailed us back. We wish there was a warm hot tub, we thought that was lacking but the finishes in the condo and the location are superb!!"

  • Spacious, modern and clean one bedroom condo on a beautiful island

"Best vacation we have had in years! We travel several times a year and have been disappointed with some destinations and the accompanying crowded, loud resorts. First, the island of Grand Cayman is quiet, modern, has great snorkeling and sightseeing. We enjoyed exploring/driving around the island, even though they drive on the left side of the road :) We actually got used to it really quickly. We also liked that you don't get nickle and dimed on Grand Cayman for parking. Every place we visited had ample free parking. Rum Point and Starfish point are must sees and well worth the 40-50 minute drive. As for Dax and Lili's condo, it has everything you need and more. Having two full baths, both with large showers, is a major plus for this one bedroom unit. The kitchen is well appointed with all the essential cooking tools and appliances. Furniture and bed are very comfortable. Having a washer and dryer was helpful. The community is definitely quiet, low key and convenient considering it's not directly on 7 mile beach. Most places (beaches, restaurants, bars, etc) are a very short car ride away. The owners, who are very responsive, have a notebook on the coffee table that is helpful. It has tips and restaurant suggestions in it. The owners respond quickly to any questions you may have and were very helpful to us. They also thought of and provided all the little details, such as free phone calls and WiFi. We felt like it is our new home away from home. Since the condo is on the 3rd floor, there are two long flights of stairs to climb (we must have missed the elevator... ;-) Just thought we should mention for anyone who could have problems with stairs, but it wasn't an issue for us. We look forward to returning to this condo very soon for another relaxing vacation!"
