  • Will go back again

"Truly a lovely spot. This was our second time back to Dream Kai and would definitely go back again. We have young children and having the option of going to the pool or the ocean is fantastic (our kids prefer the pool at this stage). Quiet and peaceful but close to places like kaibo or starfish beach. The house includes all the amenities we needed and Nigel is extremely helpful and responsive. You can't go wrong with this place. Thanks for sharing your wonderful spot!"

  • Awesome Beachfront Condo

"We just returned from a great week staying in this wonderful beach front condo. There were 8 of us total ( 4 adults and 4 teens) and there was plenty of space for all of us. The condo is layed out perfect with the entire front and side all windows which have amazing views of the ocean. The kitchen is fully stocked with pretty much everything you need to cook meals. It was also great to have a washer and dryer on the main floor as well. Since there were 8 of us we used the roll away bed as well as the queen air bed, which we put in the master bedroom, and they were all comfortable. The pool is very nice and we used it quite a bit. The beach is nice and there are plenty of lounge chairs. The dock is great for walking out and entering the sea to do some snorkeling. The snorkeling is ok if you head to the left of the dock where there is a little more to see but not much to the right but seagrass. If you are adventurous and feel like a long swim, head out about 20 degrees to the right from the dock and swim out about 400 yds to the reef and the snorkeling is amazing. Long swim but worth it. We were told this by one of the condo owners that was there and he was right. If you have little kids, this is not really a swim beach as there are a lot of rocks and seagrass but 7 mile beach is about a 10 minute drive. We were there in July-Aug and it is extremely hot this time of year, so the constant breeze you get on this end of the island this time of year was a great relief for the pounding heat. This was our third trip in the last 4 years to Grand Cayman and probably our favorite condo. We will definitely rent here again if we ever decide to return. The owner Eileen was very responsive to emails and booking was very easy. Taura the property manager met us at the condo and was super nice and very helpful with many recommendations on places to eat. You will not be disappointed."

  • A True Island Gem

"WOW! There are just no words to describe this place. This home is perfectly located, beautifully decorated and fully equipped with all the comforts of home. The best snorkeling is right outside your back door. Just don't forget your water shoes! The swimming pool is the perfect place to unwind with a daiquiri or a nice glass of wine. There are 3 liquor stores on the island-Miss Mary Lou's, Big Daddy's and Island Man Rum Shop. Pretty sure we hit them all. There are also 3 main grocery stores-Market Place, Kirkconnell's and Billy's. Don't be surprised if you have to stop at all 3 to get everything on your list. But hey, that's the fun part! If you're looking for a good Ribeye to throw on that super cool outdoor grill though, you can pretty much forget it. May want to consider packing a cooler of meat, which can be checked as luggage but must be packed frozen and in its original packaging. On the days you don't feel like cooking there are a few restaurants worth mentioning. Brac Reef Resort is home to The Palm (Friday nights are BBQ night) and The Tipsy Turtle (great bar menu). Eats & Treats (burgers and ice cream) and PoPo Jeb's (pizza) both deliver. Star Island is a great breakfast choice. If you need cash there is one bank on the island. The 24 hour ATM gives you a choice of US$ or CI$. When you're out and about be sure to check out the caves (don't forget your flashlights)! Peter's cave is spectacular and filled with a rich and interesting history. Rebecca's cave was also one of our faves. If you're wanting to feel the sand between your toes, the one and only Public Beach is the perfect spot for that. Tons of hermit crabs there too! The Lighthouse is the gateway to the most breathtaking views you'll ever see. Take your camera! Derwin was also amazing. He was very attentive and made himself readily available to answer any questions we had. On our second to last day, we took a boat ride with Derwin to Point of Sand on Little Cayman. We spent the entire day snorkeling, fishing and picnicking. It was hands down our favorite and most memorable part of the trip. Thank you Derwin! Before you leave the island, if it's the last thing you do, take a trip to NIM Things. There you'll be met by Tenson Scott, the owner and maker of the most interesting and unique necklaces. Just give yourself at least an hour as he's quite the story teller! Thank you, Cha-che, for all tips prior to our trip, the use of your car, and the sharing your beautiful home!"

  • Beautiful home--Best location

"We had the most amazing family getaway at this beach house. House is located right on the beach--easy to watch small children as they play in the surf. There is not a better place to stay on 7 mile beach! This house is truly a magical place. The owners could not be more accommodating; they are responsive and will do everything to make sure that your vacation is wonderful. Can't wait to go back!!"
