  • A Week Of Bliss :)

"We did not know what to expect from this property, we are a large family- five kids, and it was the first time we had all traveled abroad together; so it was a very rare find to have an accommodation that could fit us all, that was of the utmost importance and this place did not disappoint. When we arrived everything was great, there was plenty of space for the kids and for the adults in the unit. The peace and quiet of the property, the location with the ocean views and the short distance to the sandy shores of Seven Mile Beach made this the ultimate location for us. The property manager was on call if needed, but we had no need to call. A quick shout out to the local pub of Fidel Murphy's, a short walk away where there was always great food at a fair price- an added bonus of staying here. There is not much we would change with the exception of perhaps staying longer next time. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this property and looking forward to a return visit."

  • Perfect for snorkelling or relaxing

"I'm so happy I stayed here. I'm a hardcore snorkeler and the best snorkelling was just steps from the condo, which had everything you could possibly need, and the Captain's Table Restaurant right next door was fantastic. Bonnie and Gene are wonderful hosts, and when I needed to go to the emergency room for a surprise problem but didn't have a rental car, they most graciously took me. The unit was so comfortable and even in July it was pleasant to sit out on the balcony patio. The airport, shops, other restaurants and other snorkel spots are only minutes away. Next time, I will rent a car and check out other snorkel spots. (There are also bikes for rent but I didn't get a chance to try them since I was unexpectedly sick.) Brac Scuba Shack has a boat that is docked right by the condo, and it is super easy to book a snorkel seat with them when available and explore offshore sites."

  • Secluded Island Getaway

"Paul & Maggie have a gem of an oceanfront getaway here! We spent three lovely weeks, and had complete privacy - not a single person came by in our time here. The house is complete with everything you need, from cooking to cleaning to hanging out on the beach. The ocean was too rough during most of our stay to swim in front of the house, but it wasn't an issue as you only have to run over to the other side of the island for snorkeling and diving heaven. The main house a/c was down for parts during our stay, but the bedroom a/c was able to keep the house comfortable and the humidity down during our stay. The back porch is incredible, and we spent most of our time hanging there in one of the two hammocks that were large enough to accommodate my 6/4 270# frame! We brought frozen meat and wine in with us for the trip, and the grocery stores kept us fully stocked on everything else we needed. We loved the island enough that we are considering it for our retirement location. Don't come here if you're looking for fast night life with huge parties - the sidewalks are rolled up by 7 pm! But that's just the right time for stargazing - the night skies are amazing. And the diving lives up to the Cayman's expectation - it is simply the best place in the world! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and again . . .and again . . . and again!"

  • Better than the photos

"First of all, kudos to Henry for a wealth of information about the property and Cayman Brac. Upon booking we received detailed information to help us prepare for our trip. Even though Brac is part of a British Colony, things do operate differently than the US. We traveled with three adult couples and this is a perfect spot for this many adults. The house was great with three nice bedrooms, a great sized living room, wonderful screened in porch, adjacent pool and pergola. Plenty of room to congregate but plenty of room for "private space." The kitchen is large and well equipped and has lots of spices for the home cook. We cooked brunch for the group and each night had a pitcher of tropical drinks and appetizers on the screened in porch and watched the sunset. The island is very quiet and slow paced and the house is extremely private. Although there is a condo unit next door, we saw very few people. The lagoon in front of the house is a great place to kayak (provided by Henry) and a good place to snorkel. It is a extremely scenic property with good views everywhere. An extra touch - the palm trees are wrapped with LED lights (solar) and a sundown they automatically light up - gorgeous. Sasha was a delight. She met us at the airport and drove us to the house (we rented a car - RECOMMENDED), cooked for us (don't leave without eating her conch fritters), advised us on restaurants and was available via house phone at anytime. Be advised that food is expensive but we never had a bad meal. Beer and pizza at the Buccaneer is a must and the BBQ at the Brac Reef Dive Resort on Friday night was a great way to close out our week. The Brac residents were always friendly and kind. The snorkeling at the end K. W. Tibbets Road on the north side is not to be missed. We also took an island tour. We drove up the North road through the communities, visited the Cayman Brac Museum, learned some local history, visited the lighthouse and the Parrot Preserve. We cut across and came back the South Road and drove to the end of the island. Very interesting. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet, restful, private house to rent."
