  • Very spacious modern house at wonderful location near beach and supermarket.

"This house is divided into two 2-bedroom units, each with very large kitchen, living room & patio. Each bedroom has a full bath and there is a hall bath. The house is very modern, spacious and clean. The kitchen had everything we need including a Senseo coffee maker, which I used daily. The cable-TV box was standard-def only, and the old Sanyo 32" flat panel TV could use an upgrade to 46" or 55" to match the overall excellence of the rest of this vacation home. Although I suspect most visitors don't watch much TV while in Curaçao. In the garden there was a comfy gazebo with a hammock and couch. The pool was very refreshing and great for our kids. During part of our stay, there was another family in the upstairs unit, which was nice to exchange experiences and get to know other folks. The internet was wireless, with great speed and reliability. The location of this house is very close to the van den Tweel supermarket (like Albert Heijn) so fresh bread in the morning takes only a 3-minute walk. The house has an easy-to-use alarm system and an electric gate so your rental car is safely parked overnight. The electricity allowance of 20 kWh per day was enough for us to keep both bedrooms air-conditioned at night, so we never had to forego comfort. There are separate electric meters for each of the units. Service of the property manager was very prompt, to deal with broken light bulbs etc. This vacation rental is an excellent value for money. Many thanks! We hope to come back again!"

  • Perfect family vacation!

"Our family of 4 just spent a wonderful week at Villa Bob. The house is incredibly spacious and very well equipped with everything you might need. The balcony upstairs offers stunning views and refreshing breezes. The huge pool was a big attraction for my 10 and 12 year old boys. It was absolutely spectacular for kids and dad to play in for hours! We also appreciated the security of the house (gated, and a safe inside for important belongings) though the neighbourhood itself is safe enough that we didn't worry about locking the gate most nights. The location of the house is wonderful! An easy walk to the hotel/beach area if you'd like to take advantage of the restaurants, beaches, and grocery store there. The grocery store within walking distance has everything you might need. Tiddo is a wonderful host. From inquiring about the property all the way through to the end of our stay, he was readily available. He lives in the house next door and is available throughout the stay if you need anything, but never intrusive. He's full of great information about anything you might like to do during your stay, so just ask! And as a welcome surprise, the fridge was stocked with a few drinks to get us started! Thank you so much Tiddo for a perfect stay in Villa Bob! We highly recommend this as a rental for any stay in Curaçao! We hope to come back!"

  • Wonderful view and location

"1st impression was WOW! The view is overwhelming & the outdoor living space is a wonderful bonus. We spent most of our daylight hours down at Jan Thiel Beach but did enjoy several sunsets right from our balcony. Overall, the area right around our apartment was quiet and peaceful, but towards the end of our stay, a couple large groups moved into neighboring apartments and that's when we discovered just how badly sound echoes throughout that complex. lt didn't ruin the week, but the tranquility was gone. The neighborhood is very clean, quiet and safe. We walked at night several times with no issues. This is a gated community with a security booth at the only entrance. Once the guards know you, they don't require you to show your pass card, but it is nice to know they are so diligent. Walking down to the beach area was easy, though hilly. Snorkeling at the beach was very nice, & the loungers at KoKo's at the far end were the most comfortable. You do have to pay for those loungers but the servers will bring you food & drinks & run a tab for the day. Our only complaints about the apartment are minor but still items that I want to mention: * The coffee maker is a senseo, requiring single serve pods and makes the weakest coffee EVER. Had I known about the coffee situation, I may have brought my own pods, but brought ground beans and had to make due with using filters to make pods, which meant weak coffee. Blech! 2) The apartment was only stocked with 2 rolls of toilet paper for the two of us for the week, meaning we had to buy toilet paper. Also no kleenex or paper towels in the apartment. We arrived with full-blown colds and would've killed for kleenex! Had to go buy that & paper towels too. I know these are small items, but every other condo we've EVER rented was stocked with at least 1 roll of paper towels and some spare rolls of toilet paper, & the ability to have it restocked if needed. That was not really an option, because apparently any restocking for trash bags or toilet paper comes out of the deposit...seriously! Small things like that can make or break a decision to return to a place. The ice maker was not working properly, which staff was aware of. We had to chip frost and ice from the front of the ice maker several times to be able to close the freezer completely. Overall, a lovely vacation, we enjoyed our stay."
