  • Great house and location

"There were 6 people in the house, two married couples and two singles. Both couples stayed in the upper level and the singles stayed in the lower level. Ideal arrangement. With six bathrooms there is no waiting. We did some cooking and the kitchens were equipped with all the essentials. The Palapalounge and the covered patio were wonderful for kicking back with a good book. We are not beach people and did not use the pool or go to the beach. If you want a nice sandy beach, its a five minute walk. Also at the beach is the Van Den Twell grocery store which has a nice, variety of groceries. The Luna Park grocery is a ten minute drive. Other groceries available are Goisco (our favorite), and Best buy. There are three or four restaurants at the beach if you do not want to cook. Bella Italia has excellent pizza & gelato. The six of us had no complaints and highly recommend Top Villa."

  • Awesome destination for a warm, quiet getaway.

"We (3 adult couples) arrived late Saturday afternoon in our rental vehicle after a short 20 minute drive from the airport. We were greeted by property manager, Kristie, who gave us a quick tour of the villa and told us a bit about the island. She also called the Coral Estate beach restaurant, Karakter, and made dinner reservations for us, as we had no clue where to go on our first night on the island. Karakter is a charming restaurant right on the small beach connected to the Coral Estate complex. The house was better than advertised. On the upper level, the newly remodeled kitchen is small but very nice and more than adequate. The open floor plan living room opens up to a beautiful, covered, furnished upper veranda with fantastic views and sunsets over the Carribean. The master suite has a king size bed, with firm, but comfortable mattress, and a master bathroom with shower. There is a nice half bath and small laundry room (washer only, drying is done on racks outside) on upper level as well. The lower level has 2 small bedrooms with king beds, each room having sliding doors leading to the pool area. They share a full bath. Each bedroom has individual A/C units which work well for cool sleeping temps. During the day, there is always a breeze so A/C is not needed with doors and windows opened up. There is a spiral staircase (fairly steep) to lower level from the upper living area, or a set of traditional stairs from the veranda down to the pool area. We found the outside stairs easier to navigate. The pool is small but built in, clean, and very refreshing. We spent a lot of time around it. There are steps into the water. Being our first time on the island, it took a while to get our bearings and learn how things are done. Groceries can be a challenge. The nearest supermarket is about 20 minute drive toward Willemstad. They close by 8PM. There are a couple of mini markets closer, but the selection is not great and prices are higher. We tried a couple local beaches besides the beach at Coral Estate, we found the beach at Porto Marie to be very nice, with a restaurant, comfortable beach chairs (small fee), great snorkeling. The drive to Willemstad takes 20-30 minutes depending on where you go and time of day. Some of the roads are a bit rough, but all are adequate. Road signs are almost non existent, so a map or GPS would be handy. There are several nice places to eat within 15 minutes drive. Will return to this house!"

  • Fabulous Stay

"Apartment was top of the line in every way. The views of the water were amazing. Furnishings were very modern and beautiful. Plenty of room and good cooking facilities. Our only criticism was the very small swimming pool. And we only had one coffee pod in our kitchen. Coffee was great, but guests should have more than one. Apartment is very close to great breakfast/lunch places, also on the water. Very convenient to town as well. Thanks for a great stay!"
