  • Best location and sunrises in DR!

"Wow! We couldn't have asked for a better location or condo for our week in Cabarete. The condo is located on the most beautiful, quiet and pristine beach, but only a 10 minute fabulous beach walk to town. The ocean views from the condo are truly breathtaking and AMAZING!! Once in town, there are so many restaurants and shops, it is hard to choose a favorite. Many restaurants are located right in the sand on the beach, with beautiful views of the island while watching the many kite surfers. Favorite place for a refreshing Mojito is actually Mojito's on the beach! The condo is tastefully decorated and more beautiful than shown in the pictures. Very spacious and airy. There is always a wonderful ocean breeze flowing through the condo, so there is no need for air conditioning. Kevin and Francine were very helpful and very quick to address any concerns. Security is also very attentive, but very friendly, always with a quick "Hola" and a smile. Also, we highly recommend Ismael for personal tours and taxi service. Make sure you go to lunch with him in Puerto Plata. Best local fish and fried plantains!! We definitely plan to return to Cabarete and the Victorian. Thank you Raymonde and Andy for sharing your little piece of paradise!"

  • Perfect Location and Stay for a Young Family

"I was debating between February Point and one of the luxury resorts, I am so glad we decided to stay here. February Point is the perfect location. With two young children we needed space for them to run around, a kitchen, and a pool. The best part was the proximity to George Town (supermarket, boat rental, souvenirs, etc), a five minute drive. Tropic of Cancer Beach was about 20 minutes away. The pool was empty on most days, at times one or two other people. The harbour out back was great for snorkeling. The restaurant on the premises was a bit pricey and they ran out of many items on the menu later in the week (Food deliveries are on Tuesdays from FL), so we opted to grill most nights. The owners, Denise and Phil were so very helpful with advise and recommendations, they answered all emails within the hour. The house also had floaties, goggles, snorkel equipment, boogie boards, sun umbrella, etc. Our family had such a wonderful time, the sunrise in the morning was breathtaking. As another reviewer commented, it may not be the biggest or the newest house, but it was perfect for us. We would love to visit again soon!"

  • Paradise Revisited

"We were lucky enough to get the whole month of March in this fantastic condo. Of all the units in Princess Heights this has to be the most convenient one. It overlooks the swimming pool and early every morning you get to see why they call the beach "Dawn Beach" with a fantastic sunrise and a bonus view of St.Barts. The condo is very well appointed and being here for a whole month had plenty of storage for all we brought. We have rented from VRBO since 2004 and without a doubt Steve is the finest person we have rented from taking fantastic care of all our needs. Dave from Michigan"

  • Amazing in Anguilla

"My family and I spent eleven nights at Moonrise in December. We can't wait to return again, this will be our "home" away from home for future visits to the island. We were a party of four adults and two children. We rented a car through Neville, whom the owner had suggested and he welcomed us upon arrival with our rental. We also ordered wine and rum from Nathalie's Wine Shop and had it delivered to the house prior to arrival. The girls took care of us by supplying the kitchen with requested items for the first night. The villa is beautiful. Very well appointed and the kitchen is well equipped. My husband is a chef so we felt right at home while we cooked the nights and days we were not out and about. The home is a perfect size, very open and spacious with stunning views of the ocean. The two masters are on different ends of the house each with their own balcony, so we were still able to sustain privacy, and the room with two twin beds worked out perfectly for our children. While not directly on the beach, there is small little beach you can walk to. We liked that we could get into the car and visit different beaches throughout our stay, and the car ride was never more that ten to fifteen minutes, depending on what side of the island you were going to. The pool was fantastic to come home to, and the view is unbeatable. Make it a point to wake up early and stare at the sunrise, absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed the seclusion and serenity of this home. Anguilla really was the perfect vacation for us. The restaurants are amazing, but we were also happy to stay and cook at home. We visited Rainbow Farms for local produce, and visited the Fishery for fresh fish. If you go to Rainbow, buy some arugula, it will be the best lettuce you have ever eaten. The owner is very accommodating, and easy to stay in touch with and really helped make our stay the best. We received an information packet with suggestions from her, and we would also recommend cocktails at the Viceroy! We spent a couple days at Blanchard's beach shack for lunch, and had dinner at Veya, Straw Hat, Hibernia. We also lunched at the Malliouhana, as well as having spa treatments there. We rented a catamaran SAIL CHOCOLAT, through a woman Jaquie and her husband who own Ripples, and sailed to Prickly Pear, which was beautiful, and for a private charter, the price really was great. We took a day and went to Scilly Cay and had a great lobster lunch."
