  • one of my favorite Jamaica properties

"First I want to thank Belinda for her kindness and availability. The apartment was so spacious and comfy and was exactly as the photos claimed it would be! The apartment was so cute and beachy and maintained perfectly. the wifi was also great. I had a couple work meetings that I had to Skype in for and I never had a problem with the wifi. I have stayed at Carib Apartments at a few different apartments and this one was easily the most comfortable. I loooove the view of the ocean and the security of the property which is why I prefer Carib to any other place to stay in Jamaica. I brought my sister there for the first time and she was so impressed with how comfortable and quiet it was. Ms. Carmen, the cleaning lady did such a great job keeping the house clean and she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I was so sad when it was time to leave and head back to NJ but I am happy to say I will be returning in a couple months for another week at this great apartment. Belinda was available to me every day via text or chat to answer any questions about local things I may need. To me the best part of my stay was our guide. I have another friend that owns an apartment at Carib and she recommended a guy that she knows and refers to her guests. He was amazing! His name is Levene and he literally did everything! He cooked for my sister and I every night, he drove us to the good grocery store whenever we wanted, he took us to different beaches and sites and hung out with us every day. the food was awesome and he made us fresh cucumber juice every day.. I love this place and cannot wait to go back. Also you should try some of the water activities at the beach on the property... very reasonably priced and such a fun time."

  • 3 weeks at a lovely spot - ideal if you drive

"I spent 3 weeks at the Almond Tree Villa (main house) Dec 2016-Jan 2017. The Villa is a 5min drive from Ochi Town - perfect for those wanting to be in the mix of things but who also want to retreat to living like a local in a nice residential area. Perfect hub for those travelling around the island – 90 mins to Mobay, Portmore or Portland, 45 mins to Linstead, 60mins to Spanish Town, just under 2 hrs to Kingston. I made regular journeys to these places and back within a day which was a big plus. In terms of transportation, the White River turning leads you to the roads up to the villa also leads to a well established community & therefore there are taxi's every few minutes for those not driving. As long as you are prepared to walk out to the main road (a 5 min walk). Personally I drove, as did quite a few of the other guests - there is ample parking at the property and it makes getting around very easy. Highly recommended especially if you are used to driving a left hand drive. You will save lots of money by driving. The rooms are spacious with all amenities as listed and the main house was perfect for our needs, I would definitely stay at the property again. There were a few initial hiccups which were mainly to do with the lack of information on arrival and cleaning/presentation of facilities I reached out to the owner Neil and like always he resolved all issues within a day or so - quite typical of his communication even before I arrived at the Villa - always helpful and willing to rectify any issues., the perfect owner. A few things to note: Cost of Transportation. We hired the service of Junior as recommended by Neil to get us from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios. The cost of this was approx. $70US! Please note there are much more affordable options to get from the airport to the villa - you can pre book/pay online many services which will cost 30-50% less (like for like) however what you may not get is Junior's wit, charm and insight into the villa and advice on local activities etc. So in the end we were happy to pay the $70US but there are cheaper options. - At least 60% of the time there was no hot water when showering, not uncommon in the Caribbean but for a guesthouse something that can be easily solved. - We used the washing machine service 3 times and 2 of those 3 times there was either no soap powder or fabric softener which should come as part of the service. All in all it was a great stay, I would be happy to return."

  • Everything we wanted and more!

"This place is stunning with 2 large master suites and comfortable beds providing tons of places to relax and recharge. We were greeted by the owner who showed us around the property which was well kept and breathtaking. One of the best features was the location. The beach was a very short walk away which is where we spent most of our days. There was so much to do in the area as well, such as Dunns River, Blue hole, etc. not to mention the amazing food choices like Scotchies... YUM. Back at the house, we'd enjoyed the freshly cut coconut from the trees and indoor pool and jacuzzi. I'd most certainly recommend this property to my friends and family. We're already planning on heading back later this year."

  • Good experience

"The place lives up to its name "Jewel". It was a little hard to find the place at first...Sandra and the rest of her team ensured that we enjoyed our stay and that we were comfortable. Overall it's a good place to stay."
