  • Great place to stay in the mountains

"The hosts were excellent, couldn't have done a better job at communicating with us, answering text messages while en-route and during arrival, replacing little things to keep us happy that we ran out of, and just generally being great hosts. We stayed here for a week with our two older children (8 and 5), and used the home as a place to sleep and eat breakfast in, during the day we were snorkeling for 3-5 hours and enjoying the beaches and adventure of St. John. We were expecting the temperature to be lower in the mountains as per the explanation and description of the property, unfortunately we found the opposite to be true. It was very warm, but more importantly the humidity was oppressive, sleep was a bit of a challenge, and the wetsuits never dried during the late afternoons, evenings and over night, which was a bummer. All things considered this is a wonderful place to stay and you can't beat the price for a 2 bedroom place on the island. It's probably better to stay there in the spring time for a temperature decrease, staying there in July really is quite hot (mid 80's and very high humidity). Of course, there is a good chance I'm just a big softy, I am a European after all :) Last but not least our son Jack couldn't have been more thankful for the abundant supply of little geckos in and around the property. Challenging to catch, they provided hours of entertainment for him on a daily basis! Thank you for opening your home to us!"

  • Perfect Barbados Experience

"I spent seven glorious weeks in Barbados at Barb's Cottage. As my first visit to Barbados, Barb's Cottage sounded like a great way to experience an original cottage, with history, in a great location, at a very reasonable price - and it was. As OB said, I was never home! Catching the bus, off to the many beaches on the west coast and more distant locations - never a dull day. Yet my favourite days were with visiting family, the people and the turtles at the local Fitts Beach, and shopping at the local Jordan's Supermarket. OB responded to my inquiries before my arrival and during my stay. He was also interested in my feedback about some upgrades for future renters (couch, cookware, grill, TV). Great time. Thanks for making Barb's Cottage available to me, OB!"

  • Awesome!

"It was a wonderful place to stay. Great view, very nice condo. Loved getting up early just to enjoy coffee looking out at that view. Condo had everything. Signage on the island is not particularly tourist friendly, so if you haven't been before, driving at nite isn't recommended. Really enjoyed our stay. I heart Magens Bay Beach which is a 5/10 minute drive away."
